I was in the grocery store yesterday. I noticed a lady that looked familiar, but I was not sure I really knew her. She was short and very heavy with a red wig and a hat on. She was reaching for a box of stuffing mix from the...

jiffin4java I would've responded exactly the way you did. She was probably embarrased. She probably wasn't trying to be rude. You were right not to mention it and embarrass her further and very kind to clean up the mess rather than leave it for an employee. Kudos to you!

Lately, I've felt like a short order cook.
I have to make seperate meals and dishes for each
person in the house. Luckily, there are only three of
us, but it's still a big hassle.
On days that I'm preparing tacos for my...

I have a Toy Poodle, and he is pretty light. I used to carry with one hand and let him rest on my belly before I became pregnant. But now, I carry him with my right hand and rest his body on my hip. For some reason my dog cannot...

Something odd happened today.
After dropping the kids off to school, I realized I have extra time so I should stop by the house again before heading to the freeway to work.
I can drop by and water the gardens in the...

straight to homework? I generally give my child a break. And then it is homework after dinner. That works out well so far. But she is only in kindergarten. What is the schedule for your child? Or do you have one?

jiffin4java Wow. The only thing that comes to my mind when you say that is, "How sad for you to exclude yourself from such a wonderful gift from God," and, "what had to have happened to you to make you think this way?!" There is pain and suffering in life no matter what...

I went for a coffee break with my colleagues and my male colleague winked at me when a gorgeous lady passed by. Our female colleagues started accusing us that we have dirty minds. Why do women think that all men have dirty minds?

I don'y know if dogs eat vegetables and fruits. I have a yellow Labrador, where the vet said their skin is very sensitive, so I can't simply give her any food. Sometimes I feel pity for her, because she always likes to share our...

jiffin4java I have two dogs. My 4yr old retreiver/chow mix doesn't really like veggies and fruit....although he does like cauliflower and that's absolutely hilarious to watch him chow down on! LOL! My jack russell/lab mix is 16 weeks old and loves to eat my apple cores!...

I think that it should be optional for children to learn a second language in school. Pres. Obama wants all children all the way through grade school to not only know their regular studies, but also learn spanish. I personally...

jiffin4java I think having the ability to communicate in two or even more languages puts you at a huge advantage and I think kids should be taught at a younger age. Waiting until high school like most schools do only gives you two or three years of learning and then you...
