Dog food or normal food?

Am curious about what is best to give to my dog to eat? He does seem to prefer normal food than dog food, at least from the dry one... do you have any suggestions what is better or not?

jmie15 well as for my experience, i prefer giving my dog the normal food which is the food we ate and we share it to our dog. It's not the left over foods that we give our dog. what i mean is that what we eat for the day is also what he will be eating for that day....
