terri0824 You need to turn your notify button on by your friends name in your friends list, then the e-mail will be sent to your e-mail with their response. This is the only way I know of that you know that you have been responded to in a discussion.

APasserBy I only know you can get notified when your friend starts a discussion. I think that's the only notification you can set up yourself. Other forums have it for their members, but I don't remember that on mylot.

What is required for putting banner ads on a website and how do you find companies that want to advertise, etc? I'm inexperienced with web advertising and I am curious as to how to get into it on a personal website.

lillake You have to have access to the html code of the site in order to add the ads to it. You can find many ads, such as Google Adsense (https://www.google.com/adsense/) or the affiliates area at Amazon.com (http://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/join)...
