Should I get a smaller, lighter laptop?

I use my laptop to take notes for classes. However, the one i have now is very bulky and heavy, and it hurts my back to carry in in my backpack for classes. Is it worth the extra $1,000 or so to get an new laptop?

Personally, I am not a big fan of the layout. I don't like how the info, hobbies, and pictures are not all on the same page, and that you have to click the little tabs at the top to show it.

Personally, I think its pretty difficult to predict how they will do next year. Alot depends on Edwards. While he definately has shown flashes of talent, he is still young, and as he showed last year, he is very mistake prone. The...
