desertdarlene I didn't click on the link on the e-mail because I thought it wasn't legitimate, either. But, when I went into the site by typing it in, I was really surprised to find out that this was a legitimate issue and I was able to correct it.

Pitstop Thats exactly how these phishing sites work. If you type in the URL and make sure you're on the actual paypal site its the URL which you use to update info. However clicking the link directly will take you to a very similar looking site.

desertdarlene Paypal forced me to change all my security information and has restored my account. I'm glad they did this because I have no idea what had happened. I rarely give out my Paypal address and all the companies I use it with are legitimate.
