Google Hijacker...

I have a hijacker that redirects Google results to Netster and other places. Does anyone know of this and/or have a fix? I'm operating XP Pro. I've scanned and cleaned with McAfee, but to no avail.

kbalona Chances are you'll have trouble removing that with normal software. Go to www.techsupportforum.com In the first forum, HijackThis log help, they will help you in removing things like that. Free.

kbalona I wouldn't buy windows vista, for a couple reasons. First, it's slower than XP. Second, it's not much different from XP except for the GUI. Third, windows is already planning to release "Vienna" in 2009, so vista will soon be obsolete.

kbalona if you ask just about any person, they'll tell you that XP is the most stable of all microsoft OSs. personally I think LInux is better.

kbalona yeah there were several bugs found in Vista, right after it was released. Also, it is not as fast as XP. Mostly what you're getting is some new features, and a "cool" look. Not worth the money, if you ask me. You can turn XP into Vista with the Vista...

kbalona The statement that grudge made, that Linux does not have much software, that's extremely untrue. You can find a Linux equivelant of almost any Windows program. I dual boot PCLinuxOS & Windows XP.
