How to you get your picture as your avatar

I just joined this site a couple weeks ago and i have yet to figure out how to put a picture up above my screen name (as my avatar). Anybody else have this issue when they joined up?

kdogg3270 I like and agree with everything you said here. that part about the elderly makes me sad. One of my fears of old age is ending up living like that.

kdogg3270 i signed up for a couple of similar sites a year ago. I receive a lot of emails from them. sometimes i participate and sometimes i dont - depending on how busy i am at the moment.
