Some teachers will give out homework no matter what day it is. Some refuse to give it to students on weekends, however. Personally, I don't care whether I get homework or not because I have more days than usual to complete it....

khizfarm jerro39, As far as i know, now a days, homework or take home assignments are discouraged. teachers prefer to give seatwork rather than homework because in seatwork students could ask questions to their teacher whenever there are things they dont understand....

khizfarm Well, maybe that are some of the reasons why students are irresponsible but i hope that they would come to understand the worth of finishing their studies. I also hope that they would come to realize and differentiate what is wrong and what is right.

khizfarm yes, i would encourage my students to join in mylot. the experience would make them learn so many things like, improving their vocabulary, communicate in english well, to be more creative, to be critical and so on.
