How do you keep your jump rings from coming loose

I was going through my jewelry collection today, and a couple jump rings came apart. I thought they were close enough. Is there a special technique I should be using or is there another product I should use.

kimoana You pull them open sideways. (Don't open jump rings wider as it is very hard to get them back in shape) This way you can push the joins a little bit shut. They may overlap a bit. Once you have them in position you close them sideways again. Works for me. I...
