Help Really Scared!!

I just got my result's from my MRI today from the orthopedic Dr. The finding's were as follow's. Mild spondylosis with right paracentral disc protrusion at the T7-8 & bulges T10-11 & T11-12.The lumbar finding's were as follow....

I would like to know if some one can tell me what excatly is protruding disc is my primary dr. called me today and said that I have 4 to 6 protruding disc and they are sending me to a ortho.

What excatly is protruding disc? My primary Dr. got my MRI back and he said that I have 4 to 6 protruding disc and they are sending me to a Ortho.
