Which is better, a desktop or a laptop?

They said desktop is more 'powerful' but I prefer laptop because of its mobility and it fits into my little room.

Have you tried freelancing? Did you get paid? I used to have part-time transcription and writting jobs but I never got paid so I stopped. How unfortunate.
