intel quadcore? worth the price

i've been contemplating on buying one but im not yet that sure.is it really worth the price? i mean, budget is not a problem, im willing to invest on it if it is worth the money.what are the pro's and con's?

atul_asv i'll say NO. i know they are fst but paying so much for them is a foolish thing as there prices will marginally fall down in next6 months. then what will you do. in juz 1 yrs there will b dual-quad core..then what will you do?? its safe to live in current...

darkness01 I dont think you will need a quad core cpu just yet unless you do really cpu intensive tasks like high definition gaming or if your going to use the quad core computer as a hub for a home wireless network or something like that, otherwise i would save the...

PsychoDude Are you an avid gamer or in any other way in need for the extra cpu power, in example movie rendering? If so, it might be worth the price, depending on whether you would actually take the most out of it with both. If you are not or you play games like CS:S...
