I need to buy a new laptop for my son, his old Dell died after just over a year and I stupidly didn't buy a 3 year warranty so Dell won't help. It's a hardware fault (well several) so not worth repairing. So what should I go...

merrie Um, I never really considered a desktop, but it would be better as they're more robust and cheaper. I might look into it. Thanks for that.

merrie I didn't mean to imply children are a burden, just a huge responsibility. I consider my children to be my biggest achievement in my life, but I also understand people who have the courage to take a different path in life and decide not to have children.

What can I buy my 13 year old son for Christmas? He has all the latest gadgets and to get another MP3 or games console wouldn't be that special. He does want the latest cellphone which is also an MP3 player, but as he got mugged...

merrie Thanks for the response. You're right about them preferring cash, that has been the main answer I got from him. Perhaps I'll buy him some small presents and give him money also.

merrie Thanks for your response. I agree what they want does change weekly at this age, I think they are influenced by their friends.
