Best Time for myLot?

For some, being a stay-at-home parent is not their 'cup of tea' and some couldn't imagine working and leaving their kids in the care of others. Where do you stand?

mtrcyclgrl Thank you for your response! I am so glad you were able to stay home with her. Being a stay at home mom is a very underrated position... but the rewards are well worth it!

mtrcyclgrl I was a daycare kid to a single mom. I always said that if I could I would do all I could to stay home with my children. Luckily I am blessed to be able to do so.

mtrcyclgrl Thanks for your response! It is tough sometimes, only having a baby to talk to! LOL However, I also have a hard time getting everything I need to get done in the course of day. With working online PT and chores and a very demanding baby...Whew!

mtrcyclgrl Thanks for your response! You are right, it is tougher than any regular job! Most of my life and up until I was 8 months pregnant, I worked 60+ hours a week. That was easy compared to now! But I wouldn't trade this for anything!

mtrcyclgrl Thanks for your response. I am fortunate enough to be able to stay at home with my daughter. It has been tough with only one income, but I couldn't imagine it any other way.

Teething Baby!!

My daughter is almost 6 months old and has been teething since she was 2 months old!! What methods do you use to get through this troubling time?

mtrcyclgrl That's a bag full of tricks!! One of the coolest things I have found so far is a vibrating teether! It is a soft plastic star shape and when she bites on it, it vibrates! She loves that. I don't know weather its cause it feels good on her little gums or just...

mtrcyclgrl We alternate between tylenol and Motrin. Heck I even have a homeopathic liquid she gets on occasion! The washcloths are a great idea! I will have to give that a try!

mtrcyclgrl We have a few of those. It seems though, that she much prefers to chew on my fingers!! (see picture at left!!) And anyhting else she can get in her mouth besides those rings!

mtrcyclgrl I use that too! Unfortunately, it only seems to last 15 minutes before she's crying again! It is good if she ready for bed and just can't get to sleep because of the pain. I use that and try to get her to fall asleep before it wears off.
