Lori Tate That is certainly one way to go. However, I find it difficult to give that up completely, because take out food is generally so good.

Lori Tate Yeah. I had to practice that for a while to the point where I was not throwing away stuff. The stuff I threw away would go on the compost heap, but still. I have gotten better about it lately though.

Lori Tate Thank you for the idea about the water heater. I may try that if I can convince my husband that it might be worth a go. He has come a long way with the frugal thing, but still thinks some of my ideas are way out there.

Lori Tate I tried that for a bit, and am still trying it. Also got a rain barrel to gather rainwater, but could not get it to work 8n the right way. Had to return it.
