Alexis @PalSheena Sadly, the only way that we can help the situation is by educating others on what to do in this situation. It's sad to me that people feel the need to stick around in situations like these, but fear can be a very powerful thing. :(

Personally, I wouldn't be insulted. I'd just be concerned for my child on how he / she would handle it if the search was or wasn't a success. But either way, I'm sure a majority of adopted children would be wanting to find them...
