Is Linux Virus - immune Windows system?

Some one told me that Linux is virus - immune Windows. It won't be easily attacked by Virus while browsing the internet. It is better than Windows XP. Do you agree with that?

henry140468 Linux is a very secure OS currently because most of the desktop PC's around the world have Windows on them.So viruses and worms for linux are very few in general.Ubuntu Linux is good OS which offers a free anti-virus solution on their online software...
