Meditation In Nature

Nature helps me to meditate on the goodness of the world rather that the bad. I often take pictures of things and reflect on them.
Recently I took some pictures of the clouds that were shaped as birds and angels.
Nature makes me feel free and safe. I feel child like. It reminds me of being a free spirited soul.
It also helps me to write. If I feel blocked, I can go outside and write about anything it seems.
I know a lot of working people don't have the time to actually go outside and enjoy the beauty of this world. But if you ever get a moment, this is the best time of the year to try and spend at least 15 minutes outside in the woods, or fields. Or even just outside your backyard.
Does nature take you somewhere in your mind?
Do you go outside to meditate? What are some of your stories?
I believe meditation is truly all about nature. Even if I am meditating inside, I see sunsets, oceans, mountains, and sometimes I am even flying.
What do you see?
Greets from Switzerland!
Oh and I suppose if you live more in a suberban area or countryside, it helps.:-)

I love to meditate too.
I live in the city so everything is always fast-paced it's so tiring. The only meditation I do is 'The Tree' where I imagine myself sitiing under a tree. After meditating I feel very relaxed and energized to do all my tasks.

do you meditate? yes i do :D... i love to meditate.. it think it's so relaxing.. where i can actually let go everything in me.. and just stop thinking of anything for a moment.. you will realize how beautiful is this world.. and how simple are complicated things.. sometimes.. we see things as complicated.. but... it's actually very simple.. it's how we see it that actually determine the difficulty.... yep.. i like to stare at the clouds too.. and even stars and moon.. i feel like they're so gifted... to have such a beauty in the world.. people don't notice this most of the time.. but if you take a moment and look at it.. you'll be suprised :)

You do not understand the human beings at all., the ancient script says God has created everything for the human beings., some to use and some to get understand the meanings of His creations..... So Human beings are always going through a constant learning process..and he develop many things around for his advantage...
Meditation is not a must., it is for the mind and body to relax....to get away from the ego and creat a easy path towards the Nirvana......though it is applicable only for those who understand and experience the secret....so try to understand it before making a statement.

Well, good thing you are following! Life has very the essence of creator!
Nature itself has a sound peace and if any one heard that sound then the person naturally goes in meditation when ever s/he is in nature!

Nature is wonderful, all that consists of our nature and I like to think of the good side of this as well. Clouds do form all different shapes and people interrpt them in different ways. We are lucky that we are free spirited humans. Yes it is wonderful how when we go outside when we want to read or write something that the words mean more to us and come easier. Meditation is a great form of relaxation and I find that after I have medicated that my life seems more fulfilled and I can get a clearer picture of what is going on in my life or sort problems out more clearer.

I think that is an excellent idea. Anytime you can become connected to nature, your soul awakens to infinite possibilities. I feel like nature is infinite and unlimited. There is nothing wrong in the nature world. There is no judgment. Everything is true and exactly as it is. Nature is something man can never become, but only relate to and live in harmony with. I think you are one the right track using nature to meditate and to inspire your imagination.

thats a very good place, the nature is where i feel comfy and safe. i often go in my garden, lay down and watch the clothes. its like cleaning my inner for me. i can dream, think about alot of things and meditate. i am disabled and if i feel bad, i do it for a few minutes. i take this time because i know, after that i feel better and my kids deserve a good minded mum. the mountains i see withot dreaming ;-) they seem directly here. we have a wonderful look at them. but i like the sun, the sound of the birds, and lots of other things from the nature.
greets from switzerland too :-)

It's true. When you harmonize with the nature ,windows in our mind ,that we didn't even know existed, open for us and our creativity blossoms.I nobel prize winner in our country set up a school out in the open because he felt children learn much quicker in the open and no doubt he was right.Kids coming out of that school excel in their studies.
At a more personal level , I too have experienced the hand of nature turning on my creative potentials.I can think more clearly when amongst the nature. It almosts seems like the nature rewards you for taking the time to appreciate her and be with her.I'd much prefer schooling among the greenary and the mountains than within the four closed walls.

Hello misstree,
It is a pleasure to read about another sentient human being, stuck in this human experiment on planet earth, enjoying the pleasures of meditating with nature. She is so soothing and her delivery of solitude through waves, rain, thunder and even lightning is fondly kindled in a deep appreciative meditative state.
I too envelop nature during my most fluid moments when I intend to alter a part of my restraining ego and allow the cajoling spirit to cleanse and rejuvenate my inner self. It is a fabulous experience !
Thanks for sharing,
Erica

I'm a photographer and I mainly take photos of nature...I feel at my greatest bliss when I am outdoors with my camera with me and can take shots of nature's beauty...I do live in a urban area...my block is full of tall apartment buildings..yet just a few blocks away, there are private homes with the most spectacular gardens...I have a literal field day photographing the flowers, and sometimes I'm lucky in that maybe at a split second moment a butterfly will land on a flower...perfect photo! Since I've ALWAYS been a nature nut.....LOL..I'm one of those people who stop and smell the roses per se..yes there is a lot of ugliness going on in the world..and right now I'm going through a very rough experience that I hope will resolve itself soon and fast...but even with that, I'll still look up at the seagulls that fly around in my neighborhood..seagulls have a meaning for me ever since I read and saw the movie Jonathan Livingston Seagull--I take time to admire a sunset..etc etc..It doesn't take much to have a sense of meditative experience with nature...One just has to open one's eyes and look
