I have heard this twice now. Yesterday I was watching discovery health and they were saying that you can donate the babys cord blood to save a life. I really want to look into this. Has anyone ever donated their baby's cord blood? Who did you call? How do I get it started?

I wish that I donated my daughters cord blood but I didnt know that I could donate it without paying a dime. Its better than having the blood just get thrown away, ya know? I was told that next time all I would have to do is tell the hospital that I wanted it donated.. but if I were you, I would call the hospital beforehand to make sure that that is all you have to do!
