for me theyre just the same because they taste just like the same... they only differ only when served.. because pancakes are usually served flat, with pancake syrup and butter on the top,
while waffles are seved with fillings, like strawberry jam, or hotdog..
what do you think?

Me too. I thnk they taste different and pancakes are quiet a bit softer. I love syrup on both of them though.

The only difference as you have stated is the look and the texture. Depending on where you have your pancakes and you waffles, the pancakes should be a bit more fluffier than the waffle. The waffle should be crispy and be allowed to cook a full three minutes. The waffle also looks different. It has your little squares in them. If you have squares in your pancakes, that would be very interesting indeed. (LOL).

yeah we have the same thought... but one thing more... for me waffle is more convenient to eat.. because you don't have to use spoon or other utensils (you can use plastic) .. while the pancakes are usually placed on plates...

Well for me the difference is that you ca out something in a waffle like cheese or bacon or even corned beef but you can't put something in a pancake, you can just put something over it. But they are both delicious.

I think even though thet are made from the same ingredients they taste different to me because of the texture. I prefer pancakes. My husband prefers waffles. He usually always wins because I dont like dirtying twice as many dishes to make both.
