I think being a vegetarian (which I am) is healthier than being a non-vegetarian. I became a vegetarian at 40. Before that I ate anything and tried everything i could. I have now realised this is not good. I feel better these days. I fall sick less and I feel good that I am not responsible for the killing of millions of lives (even though they are animals). As the saying goes 'you are what you eat'. It is true. Any comments from anyone about this is most welcomed, especially from non-vegetarians.

Personally I don't think it's healthy to go full vegetarian. A balanced diet and exercise is always your best bet to staying healthy.

I am a vegan and agree with you that I feel much healthier since giving up meat. I have more energy, have less disease and enjoy life with a clear conscience.
I think that there are a lot of meat eaters out there that would benefit from changing their diet but don't realise the benefits it could give them.

Its hard to be a vegetarian. I know because I tried to be one. The thing is I cannot fully let go of other foods from animal sources like eggs, milk, cheese. You may have some substitute for your proteins but they are not as high as that you can get from meat. Nevertheless, I still prefer eating more vegetables and less meat products or none at all.

I've heard the phrase "you are what you eat" many times.. but this time i read it differently. I understood the implications more seriously this time thinking humans being animals or humans being biology/nature. It was more profound this time. Thanks.. i don't know if i'm ready to switch but I will think about things a bit differently now.
