hi,
i know you're all into cooking, so i assume that a lot of you like to make things from scratch. but you know there are urgent times when you really could use a help of betty crocker if you know what i mean. do you get help from these boxed cakes occasionally, or do you not even bother?

I personally like boxed cakes better. They're easy to make, they're cheaper than making it from scratch, they save a lot of time, and it's harder for me to mess up when making it because it has step-by-step instructions.

I don't even bother with cake mixes. Whenever I buy mixes, they just end up languishing in my cabinet. Instead, I have a couple of fast cake recipes that I make if I'm in a hurry. There are plenty of delicious cakes that can be made in a food processor.

Heck yes,Betty and I are best friends. I use her cake mixes when I need a quick dessert and her boxed potatoes come in very handy. There nothing better than a best friend you can keep in your closet.

When there is a good sale I do get the brownie mixes, and then I just add some real chocolate, sometimes I also get a cake mix, just in case we need to make one in a hurry. Otherwise, I really do prefer to make the cakes from scratch, as they taste so much better, and the quality is better as well.
