My parents were both teachers so naturally they expect me and my siblings to do well in school. My brother did well when we were young but my sister and I didn't. I prefered playing with my friends or just hanging out. I was always told off for not being at home studying. It was a struggle but when I grew up that's when I began to concentrate on my studies and got good grades. They also expected us to be in the medical profession or a teacher. Again my brother did but again my sister and I didn't. In a way, my parents' expectations of me never came true. hehe All three of us are doing well right now.

I know exactly what you are saying. They expect me to have nothing but A's in everything and on every assignment. College is super hard and they didn't go so they really don't know how hard it is. They think it's just as easy as high school but it's not like that at all.

I have high expectations of my children. I think that they tend to live up to their expectations, and if you expect them to do badly then they will.
I know school isn't easy but you if you put the work in you will do well.
