I know that overweight people have an increased risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, and other illnesses. Losing weight reduces risk so can you tell me how to lose weight safely?

I tried to lose weight through exercise, diet, and all the works. But unfortunately, none worked for me.
I know diet pills are not really 100% safe, but I tried it in desperation. But I made it a point to monitor what I feel, my health condition, blood pressure and all.
I said the moment I feel anything wrong inside me, like as simple as losing sleep, I'll stop it.
Well, none of that happened and the pill did work. It helped me lose 10 lbs over the week.
I tried Lyse XL.

To lose weight you must burn more calories than you consume. But anyone who has ever tried to lose weight knows it's not that easy! In fact, about two-thirds of people who lose weight will regain it within a year. It will take a huge amount of will power and determination to lose weight.
Start with realistic, achievable goals. Don't expect to become "thin" overnight. You should try to lose no more than a couple of pounds per week.
Eat more fruits & vegetables than animal meat and sweet desserts. Do not go around starving yourself as your body's metabolism will go slower if you don't eat so it will not burn any fat.
Make sure you drink around 8 glasses of water a day because water helps flush out the toxin and fats out from your body.
Exercise regularly three times a week, start slow like 30 minutes and gradually increase the intensity as you build your strength.
Use the mirror and not the weighing scale. When we exercise sometimes we do not lose weight at first because the muscles weight we are gaining from the exercise are heavier than fats. More muscles means higher metabolism rate and higher metabolism rate equals more fat and calories burned everyday even while you sleep.

Everyone's body is different and responds differently to the different weight loss methods. For me, the most effective program I've done is Weight Watchers. I eat mostly regular food, just less of it. Truthfully, I haven't had a lot of time to exercise, but the weight still comes off. It's not quick, but it is fairly easy once you've disciplined yourself. I've been doing it since February with a goal of losing 24 pounds. I've lost 15 so far. Like I said, it's not fast. But it IS safe and if you view it as a change in your lifestyle versus a "diet", you will be more successful. I feel better than ever! Also, I have found in the past that I am only successful at losing weight when I've reached the point where I just can't stand the way I look anymore. Kind of like when a substance abuser hits rock bottom. It also helps to do the program with a friend.
Good luck to you!!

I've tried the low carb diet and lost about 10 lbs in a month. As soon as I stopped the diet I gained it back. The low carb diet isn't the healthest diet to be on. It can cause many problems you are trying to avoid now. The second diet I tried was a calorie counting diet. It took a bit longer but I lost 15lbs in 3 months and even after I went of the diet the weight stood off until I got pregnant. You should eat 5-6 times a day small meals not all big. For breakfast I would eat 2 eggs no yolk, a slice of wheat bread and a tomato, at around 10am I had a handful of unsalted nuts, for lunch I would eat a salad with fruit, at 5:30 I would eat some kind of fruit, when I got home I would make dinner which always had protein (white meat), 2 veggies and 1 carb. I stopped drinking soft drinks and had a huge cup of water. Water helps you fill up. It was hard at first but once it became part of my life it became easier. I also did a short work out which you could walk before dinner. I did find that I was sleeping much better and felt alot better about myself while on this diet. Good luck at losing weight. Oh and your diet should be personalized for your day not anyone elses.

First believe that you can loose your weight. Then consult a weight loss consultant or your physician about it. Follow the instructions given to you and continue it till you reach the satisfactory weight.

Many people want to be thin, espcially girls.Keep a good shape is not easy.somebody maybe dosen't eat anything or even one meal per day. It's not a good idea to do that.we must keep our physical strength. If u lose one meal, yr body will not work normally.do more exercise and keep away from fried or caloric food are nessasary.
