Because life has its parting ways we seldom meet our childhood friends. But I have still a number of childhood friends who live in the neighborhood. The other day I happened to meet a childhood friend of mine ...we were classmates from the 1st to the 10th standard...we shared our happiness of the reunion...inexplicable .

I keep in touch with 2 of my friends from school. They have 3 kids each and I'm about to have my second. So we have total 8 birthday parties that we get together for not counting for other parties and things.

Well, most of my childhood friends and I have chosen to move on to different paths and different lives. Some of them even do not have a Computer even now, so unless I can find the time to call them and keep in touch, there is no way that we could do so.
Overall, it is no real Big deal, but sometimes I wish I knew they were still around, and OK... but I have my own set of friends now that I know I will hear from all of the time, or see from time to time.

I actually have only 1 childhood friend, we lost contact when she moved away and enrolled in a school for the rich kids. Sadly I heard she got her head stuck in the clouds now.

For so many years, I lost contact with two of my very best friends in gradeschool. It has been more than 20 years when I was pleasantly surprised to receive messages from them through Friendster! One moved to another country while one stayed in her hometown here in the Philippines. I live in another city far away. But thanks to the great technologies called the Internet and mobile phones, we finally are able to continue our friendship. It sure is great to find them again. Those two people are a great part of the best memories of my childhood days.

my childhood friends and I pretty much grew apart..one moved to another state and called back here to insult the rest of the group telling us how we need to find good men who will marry us...one has like 6 kids and still living in the house she grew up in..we don't even associate ourselves with her..the other one is pretty much off doing whatever she does..I see her once in a while...we all pretty much do our own thing now..the friendship is over..and its sad because we grew up together..10 years of history between the four of us...we could've tried to keep in touch, but everyone went their own way..

No.. I can't... After half a century of age you simply can't. The more you grow older, the more number of persons that you make acquaintence, You'll meet so many different and interesting people that you have to select the most important ones to mantaine relationships.. You simply don't have time for all.. But of course if I accidently meet one of childwood friends I will be very happy and will make a lot of conversation about old times.. :)
