I would love to speak on 'Friends and Friendship'. I would love to say how important it is for us to make real friends in life....I would tell the audience that those who do not have friends in life are missing something very important in life. Because I am of the opinion that one cannot move ahead without the inspiration, guidance and support of real friends. It is friends which make us important...which ignite the passion in us to do better and better in life. It is the friends which share our joys and sorrows in life. It is the friends with whom we can confide in our secrets and top secrets and it is the friends to whom we can go and tell our story of woes and sufferings...friends give us helping hand ...they lend us their shoulders to cry.., when we are disturbed and unhappy.
I can go on and on....on this topic and hopefully I will keep the audiance spell bound with my magic of words.
So my topic will be friends and friendship.

This is a very good post question pola, and i am glad that you opened it.
I believe that every person has a dream of somthing that he would want to speak about and transfer to all of the people, and here you gave us mylotters a chance of doing that.
I know that i would lecture people about the subject of fear between people.
I would choose that because i do believe that alote of lifes problems are the relationships between us people,
i do think that all problematic relationships are because we are affraid of being hurt in life, so we prefer no to touch that subject, solve it, and we do end up in alote of situations without any trust in other people and usually feeling alone. And it does not matter if we are in a realtionship or not.
Now i know that almost all the people have this fear issue problem, so i am sure that all 250 people will be listening to what i got to say.

I have to agree with you on this subject. Very true…we all are looking for pleasure and we do everything to avoid pain…and fear can be wrong guide…

I think I would talk about the evolution of technoligy, I would have to do a lot of study on the subject but I would talk about how not so long ago people lived, I would start with how people used to get ice delivered by horse and cart and bread was also delivered in a van and of course every day the milk bottles stand on the veranda every morning, listening to the radio for entertainment at night then go on to how quickly technolgy changed things this is where the study would come into it... what made this happen and of course how the computer changed all our lives and all this happened very easily in ones life time....

This is something I always think about. Last Sunday I was discussing it with my friends. We were talking about last 10 years progress and it is hard to believe that it happened that fast. We all are looking forward and see what next 10 years will deliver…to bad we are getting older.

I would warn people about not depending on the governement for everything. I would say , be sure and have emergency supplies. I would encourage people to realise social security may not always exist, and to store food supplies.I would also say that people need to be prepared to protect their own homes and families in crisis. I would be siting LOUISIANA as an example of what can go wrong.

Animal rights. I'd talk about the horrible conditions of factory farms, the horrors done onto them just so people can buy a 99 cent burger. I'd mention the antibiotics, chemicals, etc they are fed, I'd show a video even and show how they are slaughtered in the most cruel inhumane ways.
Then I'd move on to lab animals and their tortured, and top it off with another video showing how animals raised for fur are kept in tiny cages and how they have their skin ripped off their bodies while they're still alive, and I'd talk about how leather really isn't much better.
I believe I might go over the time alloted just a little bit, because really you can't put all those horrors in just 45 short minutes.....

I couldn't agree with you more...I am hopping that more people will turn vegetarian or vegan and this world can be better place for animals to live...and all of us to stay healthy....
I think that this is most beneficial lecture for humanity....and agree it is hard to covet it all in 45 minutes....

I would choose something that I know alot about so that I can look like I know what I am talking about. I am not really sure what I'd choose, I'd have to do more research to find the topic that I like.

I would probably talk about how American culture has fallen into the gutter over the past fifty years. I could easily fill forty-five minutes on that subject. I must add, their influence has also taken many other cultures down with it, including Australia, and Thailand. The two countries I spend my time nowadays.

...the art of talking is to be able to talk for a long time about any subject and without giving any specific information...

Actually I had a second choice as well, and that was to pretend I was a politician, and speak for forty-five minutes and say absolutely nothing.

If I have a chance, I would certainly choose about computers---architecture, networking, organization and designing. It sounds broad...but I guess it is the best topic that I like to...I want to explore more about modern technology and innovate!!!
