I am presently trekking the beautiful mountains of Scotland in a caravan. This is a once in a lifetime experience and I never realized till now what a really lovely place Scotland is, like New Zealand. The people are very friendly too, and the old old castles are simply marvelous!

I've been to Scotland once before and it is a lovely place, it reminds me a lot of Ireland in the topography of the landscape and and the weather patterns. It truly is a beautiful part of the world and when there is a bright blue sunny sky the reflections in the loch's are amazing. Enjoy your visit.

Its a beautiful country, I go up every year with the kids as all my family lives up there. Not too far from John o groats either. Theres quite a few lovely places to go know that only the locals know about. They tend to keep some places a secret because they don,t want some places getting trashed by certain tourist's!. I would reckonmend the devils walk!! if you like long walks or if you are a bit of a trekker, this will do the job. Its a place where you walk down these steep stairs at the end of the clift, seems like hundreds of them, when you get to the bottom you will be bewildered by the beauty of it all. Going back up is hard work lol! especially if you are a smoker!! They have a few hidden beaches too that has a fair bit of wildlife and seals. If you ever go by wick, ask directions to go to trinky. Its a lovely walk along the clifts and when its a nice day people do there to use the rock pool like its an outdoor people. Then you have the wonderful seaview! xx

Yes, it's gorgeous. I was there about 11 years ago, spending a few days in Edinburgh and Glasgow but most of the time in the Highlands, which were beautiful. And all the fields and lochs were amazing. I didn't do any hiking, though; I was with my Dad, who was in his 70s then.

sad as it may seem, i had never had the opportunity to visit that country. my knowledge about various countries had all been through readings. i love to read a lot when i had sharper eyes. my brushes with various countries had only been through this method. i wish you well as you travel through that beautiful country. enjoy.

Well, that is just great for you then. I haven't had a chance to see it just yet, but maybe someday I will.
