We purchased a TomTom satellite navigator last year and found it very useful and convenient. It's truly amazing and we could easily reach our destination without having to look at road signs. Currently we are using it as we are touring Scotland and it's really great! Have you ever tried it?

I have a Tom Tom as well and you are correct, they are fantastic and unlike some reports that I've read in the newspapers about other satelitte navigation systems, Tom Tom hasn't ever directed us in the wrong direction - unlike the one I hired when I was in Dublin in my hire car, that was plain awful Garmin or something but every junction was wrong!
One word of caution, don't programme in your home address because if your Tom Tom is stolen the thief would know exactly where you live. Better to programme in somewhere close like the town centre from which you already know your way home.

I never have heard of that satellite navigator before. It sounds really useful. Thanks for sharing this and I'll keep that in mind.
