Do You Have a Prayer Request?

Hi shelialee! While you feel that God led you to this website to help others, I feel that God made your topic to appear first in my "today's top discussions" to help me get through this tough times I'm going through. Right now, my dad is in the ICU. He's been there for 3 days now. Although he seems to get better every day, prayers will be of big help. So, that's number one on my prayer request. Number two is that, I still have 2 terms (6months) before graduating from college. I still haven't paid my tuition fee yet and I don't know where we will get the money for it, school starts on May 28 for me and May 23 for my younger brother. My mom is a housewife, my dad has many other women, so that means all of his money are being distributed to every one of us. That makes no extra savings for times like this. Number three, is for me and my mom and my younger brother to get through this. I know we can. With everybody's prayer, I know God will listen to me and I know He is the only one who really understands my situation. Thank you in advance for your prayers shelia! God bless!

Sheila Count me in on being a prayer warrior. I was led to MyLot for a reason, and I know helping and praying for people is what God would want all of us to do. I do a lot of praying. I am on the prayer chain at church too. I like where on some of this discussion you have said a prayer. This way, as we are reading through the discussion, we can repeat the prayer just by reading it.

First this is very nice of you...to do this for all of us here. I am Christian myself...but do not attend church. I do however believe and pray often. I would ask that you just pray to keep my family safe..and that my writing career takes off. I am really hoping to get more work...because the place I was working for went under. It is difficult..with the bills and rent and my son. My boyfriend works very hard and because I am not well and suffer anxiety/panic things have been hard for me too. I believe in the power of prayer...and hope that everyone in the world will come to some form of peace....

I'm having a hard time dealing with all aspects of life at this time. Financially, emotional, physically, mentally and spiritually. I am isolated and have a hard time making it from one day to the next at times.

Well how sweet of you, Sheila! What a wonderful thing you are doing! God bless you! Please remember my dad in your prayers. He is not saved and he is one miserable person. Also, please pray that God will keep me from the fear of my cancer returning. I caught it early over 3 years ago and there are days that I find myself worrying about it and I know that God does not want me to do that! He did not give us the spirit of fear! Sheila, My friend Cathie and I were just talking yesterday about we felt so led here to help people. And, we were thinking it would be so neat to have a prayer request where we could all pray for each other when we needed prayer. Neither of us could come up with a way to word it. You have truly been led to start this. I would very much like to be included as one of your prayer warriors to pray for people.

that is so generous of you God bless you it is wonderful to meet people like you so caring about their neighbours I admire you and if you would pray for me I would ask to help me strenghten my faith and find my path I know I need to broaden my heart and think beyond my little family thank you for showing such a good heart

Ya i do have a prayer request for my father and sisters as they going through a rough time .Besides this I want also u pray for every one who is unhappy for anything.

Well, seems like you can read my mind my dear shelialee. I do need one at the moment to calm my anger down. I'm pretty much angry to my brother about something that he said toward me and my husband on their last visit couple of days ago. I know he probably didn't mean it but still it upset me. And this weekend he'll come to visit us again....I just need to let out my anger before I regret and saying things back to him when I see him again.....phew. So....en extra pray for me that everything will be okay will be very appreciate.... Thank you for thinking about other people.....it really touch my heart.......

My Dear Shelia Lee, I am surprised to hear that you can pray for others. Prayer is not an easy thing, it involves physical as well as mental faculty of a person to communicate with God. This requirement cannot be imbibed by another person. Further prayer gives one a sense of contentment which if done by another person will not be there. Afterall prayer fetches nothing physical; it only gives some mental solace to the person who does it. My request to all is please do not 'outsource' prayer. It is something very personal between you and your belief and have to be dealt with mutually. Thanks.

WOW this is best thing thats happened to me in the last two days! i have been down with lots of things on my mind and when i read this post iam crying so much i can hardly type....thank you and please add my name in your list. We have been looking for a house for so 6 months now and we have not found the right one. The current house we are staying we have time only till the 31st of this month we GOT to find a house before that please, the owner wants to demolish the place and he has been kind to us but we simply cant take advantage of his kindness and extend the deadline so please please pray we find a good house soon...actually i want to buy a house for my mom but that can wait right now i just want to move out of this one please. I want my parents to have better health, i hope both my bothers can have allowablt jobs. i wish i could become slim ,that is to say ,i will not be laughed at any more, besides ,i hope i won't be cheated or hurt a lot any more. Thanks for helping, my prayers request were actually sent to www.kerygmafamily.com it is a community wherein catholics are welcome to became a member. My prayer request are as follows: 1. All of us sisters will have a happy and successful married life in God's time. 2. I pray for financial stability at home so we can have our youngest to successfully finish college and build our own house. 3. Good health for each of us: my parents, brother, sisters, nephews and niece. My Splenomegaly and cysts within it, my parent's hypertension and diabetis to be cured with God's help. 4. My younger sister to be able to get a stable job and send her daughter as a single parent to school. 5. My success with my new course MSIT for me to get a more stable and high paying job so I can help more people not just my family but my kerygma family as well.

Hi Shelialee.Thanks so much for asking anybody if they need prayer.That is really sweet.I always stand in need of prayer.It is not for any one particular thing,I just think everyone needs prayer.That is definitely something we can't get to much of.We need more prayer warriors in this day and time were living in.

I actually have a few things on my mind that we need prayer for. First, please include my friend Sarah in your prayers. She just lost her mother to cancer about two weeks ago. I pray that she knows that her mother is not hurting any longer and that in these troubled times, she seek God out and form a personal relationship with Him. She does not have that relationship and I know that He would love to have it with her. Second of all, I would ask for prayer for my own family and our finances. We are struggling to make ends meet. We are a one income family and I have been doing whatever I can to help out (here at mylot, callcenter work from home, selling on ebay) and it is still not getting us ahead. We are behind in our bills and we are now faced with selling our car to get rid of the car payment and we are also faced with possibly selling the house and having to get a cheaper house (we don't live in a very nice house but it's nicer then living in the ghetto in a unsafe neighborhood) but we might have to move into something smaller which isn't ideal because we have a son and already this house is getting to small for us. We would be fine but my husband is going into the police academy soon and we are taking a HUGE pay cut. We don't want me to go back to work outside the home because that will mean the baby will go to daycare and we are VERY opposed to that. Please pray that the Lord show mercy on us and that if it is in His will, that our finances get better soon. Thank you and please let me know if there is something I can pray for you all as well.

well i just have a prayer that may the world come into peace !! so much racial discriminations so much of problems all around and so much of poverty ....!! if these problems gets well ( i wish they may be ) then and only then all other problems do get automatically solved :) !! ....just pray for the world !! ( and pray for me too ....a little bit.... )

Oh yes, do I ever need prayer. I don't mean to sound greedy, but I need prayer for many things right now, one main thing is for my walk with God, I want to strengthen it. I NEED to walk closer to God. Also, if you will read my latest discussion post and there you will see another major thing I need prayer for. I need prayer for financial stability, for patients, for physical strength to make it through each day. I would also appreciate prayer for my husband, that God grasp his heart, and that he hungers for God and wants to live the life God has for us. Thanks and God bless you.

Hi SheliaLee, I'm so happy when I read your letter, now a days thers only few of you who are trully still want to help others just in some way. I have some prayer request eversince I got my second child but as of now I'm still waiting for an answer. I'm not in a hurry I know God has another plan for me thats why my request don't have any answer yet. I'll just send to you the details hoping that you can help me through prayers and thanks.
