I write in cursive most of the time. for exams, cursive is a lot faster. the words just flow out. and i find i get my thoughts out better. having to write script slows me down. i have to form each letter clearly. whereas cursive is kinda lazy writing i guess.
i write slow deliberate cursive on greeting cards though. esp if the person is likely to keep it!

I can't write cursive because I write out of order. For example, if I were to write the word "cursive", I would problem write "cu si e" and then go back and add in the "r" and the "v". That just doesn't work when writing in cursive.
For some reason though, when I type I don't have that problem generally. I just type. I type very fast (135 wpm), so generally, I don't even print much. Mostly, I just type. I write very slowly, so I feel like I'm wasting my time if I write something I could be typing.
I can do cursive for my signature, but that's about it.

Wow, you are a great typist. I don't blame you for typing everything. Thanks for posting.

It depends on what i ahve to write. If i'm writing down notes for myself i just use cursive, since i can read my own handwriting easily (just about, lol). But if i'm writing something down at work that its important i write down clearly then i will write in print, often evern capitals on certain things.

Yes, printing in caps really helps it to be read easier. When I am writing something for someone else, I try to slow down and write clearly. Thanks for your response.

i write in print because if i write in cursive, my writing ends up looking like noodles. nobody could really understand my writing if i do it in cursive and i think only my mom can decipher it. lolz. :)

Before college, I wrote in cursive. I think it was required back then. It's kind of liberating to be able to write in print. But when I'm in a hurry or if I just have to get my thoughts on paper, I do cursive because it's a lot faster to write quickly using that. My cursive handwriting is so bad! So I mostly use print. :)

That sounds ok to me. Most of the time, I like reading print better than crusive because some cursive it so hard to read and you can at least have a better chance to read print. Thanks for your response.

I have terrible writing and its a combination of both, mostly cursive but very messy LOL Now and then I print if I am leaving a note for someone so that they can read it clearly.

When I was in school I had the best handwriting (cursive) of anyone in class but after getting out of school and with secretary jobs that I have had, I got in thehabit of writing really fast and now it is not near as neat. I have to slow down to get it neat again.

I print unless my signature is needed, and then it's an illegible scrawl lol.
I hated learning cursive writing in school, and it always took me longer than it did to print. My handwriting was always very messy and it always looked ten times worse if I wrote in cursive - especially if I wrote in black ink.
I wasn't the worst though! There was a boy in my class who's handwriting was so bad that nobody could make out what he was writing. During our exams, we were all put off by the tap tapping coming from a room next door. The School had provided him with a typewriter for the exams so his exams could be marked lol.

Oh my goodness! That must have been some bad handwriting if they allowed him to type. LOL Thanks for your comments.

I always print and only use cursive when I have to (signatures ect). I can't even remember how to make the G in cursive. I thought it was pretty hard to make. I never got the hang of it! I know there are a couple of other letters I cant remember how to make, sort of like the G. I remember in the school system in florida, they had this strange print/cursive combined thing they were teaching kids, and as a daycare provider we had to label all the items using that print. That was tough. My 2nd grader is just learning how to do cursive.
Oh I am pretty sure I dont know how to make a Q either.

Oh, the Q was so hard! I remember going over it when my granddaughter was learning cursive. I don't think she ever got it! LOL I don't even try to make it in cursive, I just print the Q and write the rest. LOL Thanks for responding.

I write in print for everything except my signature. I haven't written in cursive in so long I probably don't even remember all the letters. I never liked cursive and thought it actually took me longer to write in cursive then print. At work we have lots of people come in and make written statements and I don't like when they write in cursive, i actually find it harder to read than print if someone has bad handwriting.

You are exactly right when they have messy handwriting. It is so hard to read. At least if they print you can sort of make it out. Thanks for the response.

I use both, just depends on what I am doing. Such as work, I mostly print, since I write on charts. But sometimes I will use cursive when just writing. Overall I say I print. I print notes that I take on Sunday from Sermons. And sometimes it just depends on my mood.

I have noticed that I do print some in my Bible when I am marking very important verses and make notes in the margin of what the verse meant to me but if I am writing in the white pages of my Bible about important sayings I have heard someone say, I write them in cursive. Strange isn't it? Thanks for your response.

I tend to block print everything. I used to cursive write everything, but I got out of the habit for one reason or another. When I'm not block printing, I'm using regular print that sometimes swirls into cursive every now and then. Sounds weird, huh?
