One of my families favorites and so simple to put together is English muffin pizzas. I love them for snacks and once in a great while I'll just have a couple for lunch or dinner because they are filling.
Just split an English muffing, put a small bit of olive or vegetable oil on each half (just enough to moisten them), cover each one with tomato sauce, sprinkle lots of shredded mozzarella cheese on top and add just about anything you would have on a pizza. Mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, ground beef, you name it you can put it on. Put them in the oven at about 400 for approximately 15 minutes depending on how well done you want them.
I love them with the cheese thoroughly melted and the edges almost burned like a real pizza. My brother likes them with the cheese melted but the muffin on the softer side. It all goes by your taste but their definitely yummy!
Have you ever tried these? If not do you think you will give them a go?

We used to make them all the time, and I think I simply forgot about them! I used to line the kids up with a bunch of different ingredients and let them have a ball! Thanks so much for posting this! I'm off to dig in the cupboards!

I remember making those when I was in daycare. I haven't had those in a long time, and I think I'm due for one. I'll of course have to go out and buy some English muffins and some pepperoni because I LOVE pepperoni pizzas! :) Thanks for the recipe, I definitely plan on using after I make another trip to the grocery store!! :) Thanks again!

This is one of my childrens favorite things to eat. Partly because they are all able to make these all by themselves. Sometimes we use biscuit dough instead. Or its really good made with garlic toast. I like to find easy recipes for my children to use on their own.

Your so right, this is simple for kids to make and you can be sure they won't blow up the house in the process.

These are really good. I make them much the same way but don't add the olive or vegetable oil. It is great fun for the children because they can each create their own personal pizza with the varitey of toppings I set out. I sometimes do the same thing but use flour tortillas instead of english muffins. Either way, it is also great for people who could not eat an entire frozen pizza in one sitting. Good idea!

I do this too, but with homemade biscuits or minibagels. We like fresh baked bread with pizza toppings, it's great!

yes I've made these myself. They are very good actually. My daughter used to make pizza with a roll of regular Pillsbury Biscuits. Same thing basically. Oil an 8 inch cake pan place all 10 rolls in pan then mush biscuits till there is one large dough ball. Add sauce and topping cook for 12 minutes. Wallahhh Pillsbury Pizza.
HAPPY PSOTSINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

YES! My mom used to make them for me as a kid and they were a favorite of mine. Now they are a favorite of my kids. They are delicious. We just make ours plain, with the muffin, pizza sauce and mozzarella chese. They are so good. We put tons of cheese on them, Mmmm!!! Now I want some!

I used to love making these. They are so good. They are so easy to make. Whenever I had sleepovers as a teenager this is what we used to make.

I used to eat them all the time when I lived in the States. I haven't been able to find anything like them here yet. They do make a great snack, easy to make and not too messy. You can do this with bagels as well, just mind the middle!!
