What do you use? I drink a lot of iced tea and coffee and if I use regular sugar I get extreme heartburn. Most of the time I use Splenda for my drinks but if I run out I'll great Sweet 'N Low or some other sugar substitute at the store.

I prefer to either use real sugar if i can't go without, or mostly ust go without! Sweeteners may not contain any calories but are bad for you in other ways, much worse for you than sugar.

I do a low carb diet all the time so real sugar kills me. I am also borderline type two diabetes so I'm not supposed to have "real" sugar.

I didn't kow sugar messes with heartburn. Sometimes I use the altrnative sugars. I just don't like getting them in packets all the time.

You can get Splenda in packages and one pound bags for baking and cooking. I like the packets though, I don't have to measure things when I am making Kool-Aid I use the guide on the box to know how many packets to add.

susbtitute sugar is the worst, as it causes cancer! even refined sugar is horrible. i only use real, pristine, intact turbinado sugar. organic sugar in its original form, not processed or refined by machinery or chemicals

When I have a cup of iced tea at home, I always use two sweet 'n lows and one equal to make a perfectly sweetened cup of tea (to my taste at least). We usally have tea every day.

I use Splenda 90% of the time now when it's available. I do wonder if it's healthy for us but so far it seems liek it's okay with no major news in the media.

I wouldn't do without the real sugar.Substitutes are always subtitutes in my case. Getting a heartburn by it is weird. You better avoid it and see a doc.

We never use sugar in my household, it is not needed, the only time I take sugar is through sugar substitute for my coffee, I take hermasetas or sweeteners which is far better and healthier too, without the added calories, if I want something sweet I like the sugars you get from fruits.

I use Splenda. If they are out of SPlenda somewhere or don't have it when I'm out somewhere I just use regular sugar. Sweet 'N' Low and other substitutes taste yucky to me. To much like a chemical.

I never use sugar substitutes as it was shown to have cancer causing agents in them. I heard in some countries it used to carry a health warning. I also heard that diet cokes and other soft diet drinks can cause bladder cancer. I am not sure how true this is but I still stay clear of them and enjoy proper sugar not artificial. I found this website if you are interested for seeking alternatives. Its very informative. http://www.sweetpoison.com/aspartame-sweetners.html

Eurgh I can't stand the taste of sweetners and I think I've tried most of them, trouble is they tend to leave a nasty taste in my mouth afterwards, so I'm sticking with sugar lol

I wish I could use one of the substitutes because I drink a lot of tea and I don't need the extra calories. But Splenda makes my tea taste weird, and the others are bitter. The first time I used one of them, I had to throw the whole cup of tea out.
