It is very sad and unfortunate that such a thing should happen to a small child. Obviously, the father is terribly sick in mind. However, what I can not understand is that how a father, even if he is sick, can do such a thing to his infant daughter.
What a cruel traetment to a child.
I pray for the full and speedy recovery of the little baby.
Let all at myLot pray for this fragile infant.

It is horrible, I still don't understand where the mother was when this was going on, but I am sure that will come out later, thanks for responding Norstar

I heard today that the little girl has made it through 2 surgeries at Shiner's Hospital, I am sure there will be more, she might lose her hand, it is undetermined as of yet, but it is the whole left side of her body that has the problems. All your prays and hopes I am sure are appreciated.

Yeah, I saw that. Since I live in Houston it is all over the news. Some how I dont think God really told him to do it. Apparently this young guy moved here from Arkansas to begin a ministry. Some start... The grand jury is next.

That is terrible. The physical pain will end but that child will no doubt be told what happened to her when she is older and be emotionally scared for life. So sad. At least she won't go back to her father.

Yes, burns are VERY painful. No child should have to experience that kind of suffering.

Truly and to experience such pain as a child. This past summer I burnt myself on scalding hot water on two spots on my stomach, I was in bed for 3 days with fever and unable to eat so I can only imagine what that little baby is going through, thanks for contributing

Oh, that's awful. Sometimes, someone will get a thought in their head and then they act on it. It's definitely an illness or something. I'm glad the girl is in stable condition and will survive.

Doesn't the article say something about the man becoming a pastor or something?

Yes, seems he moved to Texas from Arkansas to open a ministry, can you imagine what that would have been like?? Good grief, we get all the good ones here. Thanks for contributing.

Thi is just disguisting. The thing that aggrevates me is all these people say that God called them or God told them to do that, what God isn't gonna tell someone to harm another child. Argh!
I hope that he gets life in prison without parole. What was he thinking and then to act like he didn't do it? Acting as if he was in shock to hear that his baby had been microwaved? Ugh, thats even worse.
Don't get me started on people like this.
I'll be praying for that baby. I hope everything turns out all right for her.

It is cases like this that me truly believe everyone should have to prove mental stability to be a parent. This is just awful! Since we don't know the reasons behind this horrible act I can only assume that maybe he was frusterated and lost his mind for a moment. Or maybe he read something somewhere and wanted to see for himself what would happen... I don't know just taking a stab in the dark. Whatever the reason he needs mental help. My heart goes out to that baby. She has a long road ahead of her.

Nope didn't offend me at all. After rereading my post I could see that someone might think I was trying to make excuses for the deranged lunatic, it is just my nature of trying to find a logical explanation for such unspeakable behaviors. I would hate to think this was done just because he wanted to.

That is so horrible!! I can't imagine what would make someone do things like that. Babies are so helpless. I am sure the mother was not home, or it would not have happened, at least I hope.

If she knew what was going on and was not in the bathroom or sleeping, I do think she should be held accountable. I cannot imagine being a mother and losing my child that way, but people are sure doing some very strange things.

Actually I believe both parents are responsible, even if she was not in the room when it happened she was responsible to know that her husband was a danger to the child, surely this was not the first instance her husband did something abusive like this before. Thanks for your contribution, it is always appreciated.

No, the Mother was there but they have not said what she was doing, I think she should be held accountable also, this is just too awful for words, brought tears to my ears to hear such a thing. Thanks for your contribution, it is always appreciated.

i read this one right after you posted it and i couldn't believe my eyes...
I wanted to cry for that baby, hold her, and then teach her how to walk and fight and stuff so she could give her father the same pain he gave to her!
I can't believe that a parent, or someone who calls himself a parent could do something like this....
He's got to be off the wall also to quit his job and go to Galveston to become a priest or whatever it was, i mean, uh, couldn't he do it where he was? Galveston is not the biggest church, Huston is, far as i know, and ugh! Your right, where the hell was the mother? and why are they being so secretive over her and the other family member that know about this? what in the world is going on? literally have these people been zapped? oh my god!!!

Thanks for responding Ashley, jail time would be too good for this guy after what he has done. Can you imagine what the little girl is going to have to go through her entire life (if she lives that is) due to the hands of her own father.

Oh no, the red light runners ... they have just started installing the cameras in the street light here, I think it is horrible to do that, next thing you know there will not be a police officer on the street, only computers ...

This made me so ill to read about it. Some of us who would have loved to have a child or more than one in my case, I am sure are all appalled by the story. I will pray for the child. I t will be really hard for me to pray for the father though and God forgive me for that.

Is this true? I can't imagine anyone with such hatred that he can do this to a two month old baby? let alone his own daughter!!! What a horrible person! He makes me sick just thinking of him!
