No I can't say that I have ever ate purple or green ketchup. I've only had the red. Not sure if it is still around or not. I don't recall seeing it recently, but then again, I haven't been looking for it either.

I have never seen purple or green ketchup, and if i would have seen also i wouldn't have dared to buy and eat them, it is very difficult for me to put in my mouth any thing that is out of it natural or related color. my brain understand red color for ketchup and if i wanna have chilli sauce i like red chilli or pepperoni. i dont even like the green chili sauce. it gives a bad look. a thing which is not looking good is very difficult to eat , i think you will agree to that and when my salivary galnds are opposing to that it will make a havoc inside.so better be away......

I purchased it for my kids, and of course ran out of regular ketchup. Now, the color didn't gross me out, but I thought it did taste different. I don't know.. They are the same ingredients, but they did taste different!

Yeah I remember trying that! I bought the purple, it tasted the same but looked really funny! I don't think they sell it anyone, I think it was just a limited time thing. They should sell it though, the kids really liked it.

Wow! I remember when I they first brought out different colored ketchup. I was much younger too. It was the coolest thing amongst my peers. There would be red, green, and purple. It was so cool and when I tried it tasted the same. Can you imagine having purple ketchup on your hot dog? How about green. The green may gross some people about a bit, but it fascinated me. Thanks for reminding us of this trend. It was awesome!

You know, now that you mention it, I don't know if I recall seeing it on the store shelves recently. Isn't it funny how we get used to a product being one color and can't imagine it being a different color? As for the ketchup issue, my reasoning for not trying the purple or green was that I assumed dye/food coloring had been added and I couldn't see consuming any chemicals that I didn't need to! On the flip side, can you imagine how funny/different many food products would look to us if the artificial colorings were removed? Again, we would likely not want to try them because they looked different!

I remember once buying green ketchup, it tasted like regular ketchup, but for some reason I never finished the bottle - I guess I didn't like the color in the end! Nowadays I only ever see the proper color being sold, I guess it didn't catch on here.

god no i never ate those green and urple ketchup! i feared they give you more of a chance of getting cancer or something. that is just more chemicals and additives to change the color.

Yuck, I have never been able to bring myself to buy or eat it either! It just doesn't look right. I haven't seen it in the stores and I recently bought some ketchup but maybe I just didn't notice. I'll have to look the next time. If they discontinued it, I can see why!
