First, please let me thank everyone who responded to my 'Urgent Prayer Request for Home". Because of time right now I'm unable to respond to each one but I knew I could count an many wonderful people and friends here at myLot.
Although I wasn't able to read the prayers until now I knew in my heart that others were praying. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Now for the 'update'. The meeting with my landlords was much as I had expected and it went downhill from there but I am going to be optimistic - this will come out better somehow.
The landlords have had my house for sale and it's not sold. They 'desperatly' need to sell it along with 8 other properties they own. They are planning to put all that have not sold up for auction (with a min. limit) and need the houses empty before this happens.
They are at the same time keeping a few properties, mainly apartments, and this was their offer. A two bedroom in another town, ground floor, with a patio. A two bedroom bungalo a block from where I am, no garage, no basement, no yard over looking McDonalds parking lot, air-conditioning units for one of their apartment buildings, and another parking lot. They said I could have first choice on the bungelo at the same rent I'm paying now....
Ok, I now have 3 bedrooms, 2 story, nice yard, two car garage, nice wooded view behind me. The bungelo is 1/3 the size of the house I'm in now... Along with the offer they also wanted a year lease :( but were flexible on the lease. Understand, I have been renting from them for over 2 years and never once missed a payment and have only been late 2 times (a week at most).
Now, this is where it gets funny or at least to me. They wanted me to move from here within the next week to two weeks - there is no way on earth I am going to be able to physically do that. Next I said I did not want to sign a lease as there was no way I would want to live in that house for any longer than I had to (I would be miserable there). When I said that then they started 'back peddling'.
Tomorrow I am going to talk to a mortgage specialist, they (the landlords) will 'back me' and will sell the house to me for $20,000 less than they originally listed the house. If I can come up with a $5,000 down payment within a month they are willing to keep my 'landcontract' at the price I'm paying now and have a ballon payment or something like that within a period of time (a year or so). They would like for me to be able to buy out that loan within 2-3 years.
LOL - with the outstanding writing assignment payments I have coming and everything else (savings and all) I can come up with $1000 but won't have first month's payment ($600)... I am confident that somehow this is going to work out - how I have no idea but know it will.
Please pray with me, thanking the Lord that I'm not being kicked out on the streets but knowing God has something wonderful in store for me.

I'm a true believer that God doesn't give us more than we can handle. Now he's come up with a small solution for you and I'm so happy about that. Life does have so many little surprises and we never know what's going to be behind that next bend. I'm praying that your mortgage specialist can give you some help tomorrow so you can put all of this behind you...and your son too. I can't imagine how he's feeling though all of this. Your in my prayers tonight.

Thank you so very much - we're in good company. Before the landlords came over I called my friend a retired pastor and he was holding a small group meeting at his house - they are all praying, went to church this evening and even more are praying.
I know God has a reason for this and only time will tell just what that is. My son is steaming - he said, "no way, I'm not moving, they can't do that".
For now, every penny counts so am going to spend time before going to bed doing as many responses as possible! There is no way I can concentrate on my writing assignment right now.

Goodness, two weeks to move out. That's not fair.Surely there are tenants guidelines & laws to avoid this.
Why would they charge the same rent as you are paying now, foe a much smaller bungalow?
The option of buying seems greatly preferred, but it is a lot of money to come up. In the long run it is worth paying a mortage rather than rent.
I don't know how to suggest you get the money, but my best wishe are with you.

I'm confident with the attitude you have it will work out. You said you had no idea of how this would work out but somehow it would and that tells me you have it together very well. God Bless and keep you hon. You'll do just fine I'm sure. It was Great that you kept us informed, I was thinking about you all afternoon. Take Care. Sleep Well.

I truely do appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
I do tend to always try to give an update when I've asked for a request - so many times on the Internet you pray for someone and then never hear the results.

What you're going through is as idiotic as what I'm experiencing...first of all, your landlord wants to get you out--why should you have to pay any kind of fee to move(the $5,000)---what is it with people anyway..do they think we have loads of cash on hand like this? ...second, gee, tell him, "no problem --of course I can move out in a week or two...now let me see...you can provide me with a moving company and moving men at your expense"--LOL
I'll continue my prayers for you..please consider what I mentioned in my other post about Unity-okay--I did a prayer request myself today-

Well, it' not perfect but I love it and it works great as a home for me - if I owned it and had money there are some things I would change such as enlarging the very small kitchen and moving the washer and drier hook-ups upstairs to avoid having to go down it the nasty basement.

LOL - no no no - the $5000 would be a downpayment on this house, I wouldn't have to move and eventually the house would be mine forever....Thank you so much for the prayers.

I missed your previous post and was unable to pray for you in this situation. But I will pray for you now, God has a plan for you and it is all in his hands. He will see you through this. Because what he brings us to, he will also bring us through. Just keep having the Faith that you have and it all will come to pass.

Thank you dear - if nothing else this experience will either drive me to my grave or make a stronger yet person of me - I'm guessing the latter of the two :)

LOL told my pastor friend tonight that I was mad now - he looked very concerned and then calmly started to say I shouldn't get mad. I never interrupt or correct him but this time I did - "It's ok, when I get mad I get motivated, don't worry I won't do anything to embarrasse myself or that I would regret later but in me mad means action"

Matthew 18 (King James Version)
18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Just remember that the Lord will never give you more than you can handle. There were times that I thought I couldn't take anymore and didn't know how I was gonna make ends meet and somehow managed. :)
I'll continue praying for you and this situation. I'm sorry that you are having to go through these trials but remember its the trials refine us. They make us who we are.
The Lord has something for you. He knows what he is doing and his timing is Perfect!!
Keep us updated on how things go and remember we are praying for you and wishing you the best of luck!!

I agree and over the last few years have learned that even when I don't think I can handle any more I know God thinks higher of me than I do - and every time I have come out a stronger and smarter person, thanks to God and His trust in me.

I wasn't here to read your prayer request, but I did go back and read it.
God knows His plans for you, and they don't include harm. He knows your needs, and I will add my prayers to others. If it is in God's will, you will be able to purchase your home, but look into different options.

Gee Faith, I don't know what to say. That all sounds very complicated and I wouldn't want to be in your shoes. Maybe God wants you to be somewhere else? I will ask ther Lord to grant you serenity and calm and the wisdom to make the right choices. God's will be done. Amen

my dear friend I missed your previous discussion asking for prayers because of this situation of yours. Oh my dear I don't know what to say. I can just add that I hope you'll find the way to buy your house and stay where you are comfortable and safe. I hope you'll get enough work to pay for the mortgage and that your actual landlords will be good with you, being you such a reliable person. Let us know how things are going and of course I will be praying for you and the success of this money transfer and mortgage.

Hello faith, I am currently reading a pamphlet entitled "When Hope is Lost." It teaches us to always seek God in times of our need. There is not one single human beings who can really help us but only God himself. I know what you are going through is not a chicken thing. I will be a complete mess when faced with a situation like yours. I know that God won't give you this kind of problem if you are not a strong woman. I will continue to pray for you and your family. And remember, there is always hope. I don't know when and how your problem will be settled, only God will tell you.

Keep the prayers comng in for this remarkable lady! I am sure that somehow this will work out for the best and I truly believe that God never gives us more than we can handle but sometimes it sure does feel like it! I think that if you keep praying,He will provide the money for you to keep the house. However, remember that some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers as He does His will and not ours!
