Yup, been there, still do it...I picked up a beautiful piece of slate that had been changed from the intense heat, from a town in PA that has a coal fire burning underneath. as well as my collection for my whole life...(I am 49). They are nice & beautiful for sure...now think about moving! My hugh chunk from the coal town is in a friends yard, because I had to move into an apartment!

You would really enjoy it around here during the first week of May, then. We have a rock show and swap meet. Our library features various displays of rock collections and tumbled rocks in their display cases. I think that the rock are beautiful. I always have liked them. They have some polished into rounds, and some that are egg shaped. I do not get to the gem and rock swap meet very often. It seems I am always too busy.

Wow. I only have two rocks/ stones in my collection that aren't from the ocean. They are Aquamarine my birthstone and a clear Quartz, there are very few rock shops here where I live and if I find out the price for a rock/ stone is real high.
