Dreams: Did you have dreams as a child which you have not fulfilled?

My dreams as a young girl was to be a nurse. I was not able to fulfill that dream because my parents could not afford to send me to a nursing school. So I had to think of a one-year course which could help me find work easily. How about you?

Quite frankly, i had so many dreams, and no, regretfully, i could not fulfil any of them. The most disappointing one was, I wished to join the army. In those days, it was, finish your graduation and find a job and get married. (not everyone though). But I would like to thank my parents for the education they gave me, even though difficult for them.

I dreamt of becoming a Primary School Teacher from the age of 8 years. This I achieved, & I taught for 22 years before retiring. It was expensive for us to send me to Teachers College, but fortunately at the time, we had a Fedreal Government that believed in Education for all, & banned fees, & gave financial assistance to those with the right academic ability who were in more difficult financial circumstances.

I just grew and learned things. I had no idea which way life would take me and so I have lived and responded to the changes and paths that were presented to me. After all this time the clerical things I learned in school and the horticultural thing that I learned has been the main things in my life. By working like I did my resume it varied and makes me a handy person to have around. Fortunately since I am rarely out of work if I really want to work. I hope your work life is varied and as interesting as it can be for you.

Please don't expect me to even begin to try and explain this .. but I really wanted to find out I was adopted .. totally bizarre .. yes .. utterly bonkers .. yes ... bit there you have it .. I often daydreamed that my 'real parents' would come along one day and I would go off with them ..

Most of my dreams as a child were thrown to the side as I got older- the only one that remained the same was to find the love of my life...and I did that 25 years ago. I changed my mind a lot growing up i couldn't decide what to be, dancer- doctor- vet- lawyer- beautician- movie star- rock singer-writer- etc.

Yeah, I know how sad it is not to fulfill a dream that you once had. I am still working on my dream now. I want to be a doctor and I am doing my best to pass the MCAT and get accepted in some good university.

Sure don’t we all- I dreamt of being a rock star- I’m not! I also dreamt of being rich and famous- I’m not! Lol—I am a mom and I have a wonderful family- that was another dream- I’m also an accountant- I never dreamt to doing this but I do love it so- I think our dreams and goals change a lot as we grow up.

Having my own daycare, maby being a teacher, Having lots of kids, living in a HUGE Home.....But the one that upsets me the most that I probably will not beable to fullfill is to beable to stay home with my children. I have wanted this for sooo long, I always wanted to be either a SAHM or a WAHM.....But not in this area. Ill never beable to afford it. Im sooo sad about it
