My husband has to work that weekend so I will be home all weekend, however, we will get together with family at my Dad and Moms later in the week. I love holidays as we all still get together and enjoy each others company. I am fortunate enough to have a wondeful family.
I do hope you have a wonderful Fathers Day too.

we're going to be pretty broke for this weekend. which stinks cuz i don't know what to do for my hubby, OR MY dad, OR HIS dad, PLUS my brother's birthday is on father's day as well. we may have to deliver presents AFTER this weekend with our nextr paycheck. i hate living paycheck to paycheck, or barely living paycheck to paycheck. fortunately the family knows, and wouldn't be upset, BUT it upsets ME. we just celebrated my hubby mom's birthday last weekend. the summer is FULL of gift giving time for us. it's hard sometimes.

Yes living paycheck to paycheck is hard. And sometimes when it seems like you are finally getting ahead a little, something comes up and you're right back where you started.

I am taking my daughter to meet her father for the very first time. She is two, and he has been incarcerated since my 5th month of pregnancy. I'm not sure how its going to go, but, we are excited!

I managed to find something for my father in law but not my own father. I find it hard shopping for him because he prefers that we don't spend money on him at all. I might just end up wiring him some $$ for him to spend on whatever he wants. I will call him though.

My father always says he doesn't need anything. Usually I like to send him a gift card so he can get something for himself.

We are saving for a very special trip this summer to see my husband's family, so we will probably not be doing too much on father's day this year. I will try to be as nice as I can to my hubby though..LOL That will definitely be a hard one to pull off !!

Well, i dont have plan actually, my husband is out of the country and my father and father in law was living so far away from us, all i can give to them is just a call like what i always did, maybe i can give them a gift (material gift) when we visit them. All i want for them was God continue to blessed them with good health and long life..
Happy father's day to all father's out there!!!!

Well, my father lives out of state but I plan to call him and send him something. I have a question though what is a great gift to give your husband on father's day?

I will probably have my dad over for dinner the day before fathers day. He works day shift on fathers day. As far as my husband we have reservation to a nice restaurant for brunch and then what ever he wants to do is fine with me, it is his day.

We just bought my dad and my father-in-law Father's day cards and we are going to send them out tomorrow. That's all we're doing for them right now.
For my husband, I'm going to fix him breakfast in bed and let him watch whatever he wants on tv without complaining. lol He also won't have to change any diapers if he doesn't want to.
The baby and I are going home later in the week next week for 3 weeks. We might take both sets of grandparents out to eat (we missed Mother's day, too, since we are 1100 miles away and we've been saving all of our extra money for this trip). That will probably be it for presents for them, though.

Too bad that we don't celebrate that much here on Father's Day and my dad just doesn't really care about it that much. I usually wouldn't get him any gift because he thought it would be a waste of money. So I would just buy him a nice dinner out or cook something which we don't usually cook in the normal days and have a good time together. I would give him some money so that he could use it however he wants to. For me, it definitely is more effective than buying him some gift because he doesn't have any special wants.

I am also planning to make an overseas call to the father of my kid to greet him a "happy father's day". Gift will be followed when i got home =).

Money is extremely tight this year, so the kids and I are going to work on special things this year as best as we can:
1) we're making his favorite breakfast: french toast, eggs, sausage, strawberries and juice
2) we're making his favorite lunch: tuna salad sandwiches, garden salad and milk
3) we're going to grill for dinner
The kids are making him cards, books and other craft projects. He's off duty in terms of yard work and other chores. Back rubs, camping out on the couch and having full control of the remote will be topping his list of things to do. ::smiles::

My dad lives two hours away.
It sucks cause I miss him so much.
Even though I could go I don't because I can't for go for mothers day and then for fathers day too. If I went for one I'd have to go for the other.
I usually send him a gift or gift card. This year I was going to give him a Harley Davidson gift card - but they don't have them. I am going to send him money instead. He just recently bought his first motorcycle.
For my Father in law we don't know what we're going to do just yet. We haven't decided. It's getting close though! He is a bit hard to buy for because he really don't want or need anything. We usually take him out to eat - which is probably what we're going to do.

The day before Father's day, we are going to see my boyfreind father and the next day we will go eat at my grand-father place.
AS for my home father, I didnt talk to him for more then 4 years. Maybe one day he will be back in my life

depending on money but i was thinking about having my hubbys good freind over with his wife and kids. they have really cheap bags of chicken at walmart and make a salad and corn maybe. it all depends on money though, our middle sons b-day is the 24th and we are having his b-day the 23rd so we have to make sure we get what we need for that. there is a shirt that my oldest son wants to get him so we will get him that but everything else is pretty much up in the air. as far as my father i haven't seen him in years

I will be working my PRN job that day, but I will call him. My mom told me that my dad needs a new pair of slippers so that is probably what I will try to find for him.

This is Ricky's first father's day and I have no idea what in the world to get him. I know he likes games but he has plenty of those! I was thinking about making him breakfast in bed.

i'm not planning nothing for Father's Day since dad lives out of city.
he lives like 200 miles away from where i live and he probably wont be at his home anyway.he works on theaters and has to travel to differentt states everyday. But i plan on giving him a call though and i have a Father's Day card to give to him which i'll mail it to him also.I wish that he was either like closer to my hometown or he was in my town that day where i could see him.
but he'll probably be working on that day,so i guess a phone call is better than nothing.
thanks for asking.
