Did your elementary school teacher ever offer you a chocolate covered bug to eat as a snack in class? Mine did. She was a serious elderly lady. You would have never expected her to do this. I never took her up on it. She was offering an array of chocolate-covered bugs from ants to crickets, to grasshoppers, bless her. Those who took her up on her offer said they were delicious. In today's world, she would probably be arrested for corrupting minors away from eating their veggies. I mean they say once you have chocolate-covered bugs for a snack, that is all you ever want. Forget the veggies and alfalfa sprouts. Oh well, times change.

Hmm...maybe you need to talk to Karan. He is right above you. The man is a veteran at eating live ants and earth worms. I think he gets his strength from having a lot of cereal. He lovessssssssssssss cereal.

Yeah actually we did have one teacher that brought chocolate covered ants to school and offered them to us . It was because of the area we were studying at the time one of the delicasies (sp?) in that country. A few of the kids tried them and said they were great, I just didnt have the courage to try it.I might would now since I am an adult .

Nope, thankfully not. I could eat normal chocolates if I were offered that, but not those with bugs. The idea of eating bugs with chocolate really turns me off.
I don't think there are any restictions here so I think it would be ok for a teacher to offer their students such food. I think though it would be difficult to find a place that sells these exotic chocolate! :)

Age can change us. Just remember who she was and how it made your life better. She was there when you needed her to make a memory in your heart. Be there for her now, because she needs you even if you cannot see it.

Never saw the movie. Since you really don't want to eat bugs, consider the eraser a real treat!

Yes, in first grade we had someone come to our class and talk about exotic delicacies, of which chocolate covered ants were one! I didn't try them though, couldn't make myself do it! I know my brother tried one when it was his classes turn to do it! Boys will pretty much try anything I think.

I think times have changed. Today everyone has to be suspicious of everyone, teachers included. Back then it was cool.
