What one thing about mylot or it's members makes you angry?

Please notice that I said ONE thing! There is always something about a site that makes it's members say "oh no not again"....right? It's a fact of internet life and sometimes it can't be helped and we all understand that. But there is always one thing that makes us cringe when we see it or it happens.
I didn't start this discussion with a specific thought in mind and I'm trying to think what my answer would be.
So, I think it would be the fact that I can't change my profile page. I've tried putting all the pretty html stuff and followed all of the directions and still end up with a black and white page.
What is it that gets to you? Is there something you need to get off your chest? Now remember I said ONE thing!

Hello, ctrymuziklvr,i can say i am quite happy with mylot generally, but one thing i am not happy with mylot is the glitch i have experienced so far,i think some other members may also have the same problems.
Particularly,i think the worst thing i suffer from is the message glitch,i am not able to send message most of the time, people may think i am rude because i do not reply to their messages.
I hope mylot will fix up the glitch soon.

I have to go to eacvh members page to send a message. Trying to
respond to their messages fails 90% of the time at my end. Ugghhh!

It seems like there's always some sort of glitch no matter what site we go on. Goes to show that the internet isn't perfect. I think mylot is usually on top of things and gets them taken care of fast.

The ONE thing that irks me, gets me angry, whatever you wish to call it is the lack and the speed of myLot administratios answers or resolves to PM,s sent to them. I've had this issue all too many times and have resolved myself to not bothering with it at ALL anymore. it's a huge waste of time. An example, about 10 days ago I wrote about 2 specific problems I have trying to send PM's to a select few members on my list and have YET to get an answer. Not even one saying they have recieved it and are looking into it. Thanks and have a great day/evening.

I remember the problems you were having. Luckily I haven't had that problem. When I've had to pm admin. I usually get a reply in a timely manner.

My issue is the fact we are not allowed to know how we earn money. Sometimes I make several (what I think) are intelligent and interesting responses and earn nothing. Other times I make a few one line, sarcastic comments and earn 20 or 30 cents.

We know the basics of our earnings. Descriptive discussions and getting a lot of people to respond to them. Other than that the rest is basic.

I hate it how some of the members sit at their computer and make biggotted or racist remarks to offend people they don't even know, when they wouldn't be brave enough to do it in real life. I think that is one of the downfalls of the Internet.

But I have actually seen people proudly proclaim 'I am a biggot'. If they said that and the comments they make out in public they would not survive. Instead they hide behind their computers, making offencive comments at innocent people.
We are free to speak as we like I agree, but we should still show a little respect and common sense.

There are many members here on mylot who are young and respect is not in their vocabulary. It's something we have to deal with unfortunately.

I don't see those discussions as being biggoted or racist. We have to see them as being someone's opinion which we are basically here to do....give our opinion no matter what anyone thinks.

The only one thing I hate about it is when we have done our very best here and in the long run, it seems like we're still not doing anything because of mylot's sudden decisions to delete some of users discussions or maybe sudden deactivation of other users accounts...I have been there once, having my old account deactivated and that was really a hard thing for me back then, but now just try to forget the past and start all over again hoping that it won't never ever happen again.
Well about my profile, there's no problem with it because I really tried to fixed things out myself and also with the help of other mylotter friend here who helps me and guide me in such things like beautifying profiles.

It has to be how people try to take advantage of other people's uses for websites. Lets take runescape as an example. People know that if a player plays it awile, they eventually get desperate for something on a game, that they would do anything for it. People releive they can take advantage of this and make a quick buck off of selling game items.

I know what your talking about. I didn't realize it was happening with gaming too though. It's too bad when members of a site have to take advantage of others.

Sometimes the deletions that take place without, IMO, it fully being read. Too many times I have seen discussions that if you only read the first two lines, would make you think it's about one thing, but if you read the whole post it's really about something else entirely. It's darn aggravating to either use your time responding to a post or creating it, only to see it deleted because someone didn't take the time to really read it.

Well... I had a post that was titled "Dirty stinking immigrants" that was deleted after it got 86 wonderful responses the first day. When I asked why, after my third message to them explaining it was about mice, mylot said I should have used a different title! That is clearly a sign they didn't read the post. Many people that replied to that post were shocked. Then just this week another member had their post deleted. She fought that one and won. Mylot reposted it without any responses so all those points were lost. Once again it was a case where they did not read the whole post.

That's enough to get me going sometimes too. But I'm sure mylot reads them well before deleting them and there could be other reasons for them being deleted.

I can't imagine how they would have the time to read every single discussion and response written here. The only thing I can think of is that someone had a problem with it and reported it to them. I'm sure that happens often. I'm sorry that happened to you and the other person too.

I guess my main gripe is the fact that we can't edit or delete posts after we have made them. I am always rushing, and often posting when I'm at work, so I often see typos afterwards that I wish I could alter. Also, sometimes I seem to press the enter button twice and the post apears twice. That is the only thing that really annoys me here!

We do get the option to edit them before posting...it says preview comment. Sometimes I'm in such a hurry that I don't even bother.

I think that the thing that irritates me most about Mylot is when someone post a discusssion, and before giving a significant amount of time for replies, they choose best answer. I think it is only fair to at least give a minimum of two days before choosing. See, I followed your request.

There are a few things that get to me, one is members who feel the need to respond in a nasty manner. I had one who actually called me names, which was uncalled for. I reported him, then I saw he did it to someone else, so I reported him again. Thankfully, mylot was quick to remove his responses.

You had to ask, ctry, so I will say that it peeves me that I can be demoted for a discussion9or maybe I was reported). As long as I don't personally attack any of my fellow MyLotters, I feel that I should be free to speak my mind on anything.

As I read this discussion my mind suddenly went blank. I just can't really think f one thing about this site that makes me angry. I admit that there are some things about this site that upsets me. But I don't believe that there is a site out there that wouldn't. All sites have their problems. As adults we have to learn that not everything is in our control and that we must learn to deal with it.
If I was smarter I would offer to help you with your profile page but since I am not that smart I can't help you, sorry.

I really havent run into anything that has really gotton to me. I am a little annoyed that once you hit post a desision you cant delete it if it doesnt get any responces in a few days. Or can you? I am still new here and there are still things i am learning.

I don't know if this member - kusmadi, is aware but responses like this will be reported to mylot and they will lose their earnings. If it continues they will be banned from myLot - kusmadi if you can't respond with a few lines you should move on to a different discussion that you can respond to.

I've got no real problems with the mylot page itself, but the number of mean people and ignorant people is annoying--I"m sure they be only a few, but there are many. What I really hate, and this is not a reflection of mylot in general, but a reflection of society, is that people don't know how to debate. Say something that people disagree with and it's down to name calling, score lowering, flaming, bandwagoning, etc...

There are so many, but to oblige your question with one answer, one of the things thats makes me really angry is the amount of repeated discussions. Obviously people do not read the guidelines as it says to investigate a subject before posting a dscussion. There just always seems to be 20 + of the same subject. Its totally annoying and makes me walk away from the computer sometimes.

This isn't something I hate per se, since that's such a strong word. But it irks me because I feel like they're cheating and trying to get more for posting less. For example:
When I see people who write like this,
by not completing the entire sentence
all the way through and cutting it
short to make it appear lengthy.
I see that so often, and I guess myLot doesn't mind at all, but it just bugs me. It also reminds me that the person is out for money and turns me off from their discussions. This is probably just me though, since many of folks who write that way have very high star ratings.

Well the main thing for me is when someone posts a link and in the post responses someone also posts theirs for the same site, I'm all for a bit of competition but think it is quite rude to reply to a post outting your own link in there the same as the poster to undercut what the poster is trying to do.
