Oh Grocery Stores. people think I'm weird in the first place because I love grocery shopping (i'm 25 thats not something you look forward to at 25!) and I walk up and down most aisles even if I went in for a few specific things.
I have grown to realize I'm quite picky about grocery stores. My biggest pet peeve is definitely the fact that... some stores are very stupidly organized.
For instance: I don't want to buy Oatmeal and Shaving cream from the same aisle. Yes, there is a grocery store that puts Oatmeal in the same aisle with razors and shaving cream.
I'm very particular about how a store is organized and if it takes me forever to find where something is kept (like why is honey with peanut butter!? I can't quite grasp that one) then I don't like it!
The second is the quality of people who shop in the store, but that's hard to explain and probably makes me sound all conceited or something.

i have several, haha. The parking lot is always a zoo full of people who think they're the only ones there. I always get the cart with the screwy wheel too (although i have a strange feeling that ALL of the are like that!) I hate when the store is out of stock on seemingly everything i need. And i hate the long lines with people who make the cashier price check lots of stuff and keep mysteriously finding coupons buried in their purse and feel its their duty to tell their entire life story in novel form. I wish i could just run in and out but alas, it is never that easy!!

Oh that is a good one! I usually do the same thing and you don't realize it until you are IN the store and it is a hassle to go back and change carts.
I also hate to find it freezing in there! Sometimes it is just too cold to take your time and get everything you need. Then I find I missed half of what I needed when I get home.

LOL MY husband says that he is going to let me choose a cart then he is going to push it back and grab the next one. I always get the cart that is messed up. Why dont they just give those carts away and replace them. I know they make enough money to do just that and it could be written off as business expense. Or do they just get a kick out of watching us try to keep the thing moving and in the right direction. I have been tempted to carry a can of WD40 to spray those squeaky ones so I can sneak up on people without them all turning to see who the wacky person is with the bad cart. LOL

It bothers me when you standing somewhere waiting for say a bus.
Then all of sudden someone comes upto you and stands at the side either "shouting" down the phone or "smoking" lighting up. It really annoyed me when it was just me and my wife but to do this next to a baby is just darn rude.

Elderly people whom block the axile and whip out pictures of their grandkids or surgically removed organs has got to top this list. These old farts usually park the cart at such an angle to block the row totally...just like the anuerhysm that is devoloping in their arteries!

What bothers me most, is the lack of respect and manners that people lack. They run you over, bump into you, and say nothing.

The screwed up wheel is a biggie, BUT the worst in the grocery store is the people in line behind who stand almost on top of you or they bump you. Now i don't mean children, I overlook that but when an adult bumps you with their cart or is standing so close they are touching you. I mean what are they thinking? Obviously they are not. Thanks for letting me rant.

I don't appreciate srewed up wheels either but the worst for me is people who stand in the middle of the isles and stand there chatting. I want so bad to suggest they go sit and share conversation over a cup of coffee but so far I have maintained myself LOL.

Mine is grabbing the nastiest cart without realizing it at first! THEN i'll be halfway across the store from where the cart lot is, and I'll notice a grimy used tissue or napkin or something equally gross! The wheels do make me irritated too. A couple mos ago, I picked one and was so irritated I forced hubby to push it because I was getting so angry..lol

My biggest pet peeve when I go to the grocery store is the massive lines! Some days they only have one cashier at all the registers. So here I am, standing in line with a screaming 10 month old trying to get food for my family, behind 6 people with full carts! I also hate that here in Washington there are very few stores with the You Scan systems. When I lived in Colorado, I don't remember a store NOT having them. Argh!
I also hate how stores rearrange their products all the time so you have to stroll the entire store 8 times to find something you need.

I always seem to get the cart with the messed up wheel too, lol. My biggest peeve though is people who put their cart into the middle of the too narrow aisle and then block the only way through while they're looking for their product on the shelf. Then, if you say excuse me, and try to get through they get ticked because they have to move their cart a little. (If they'd just keep their cart closer to the shelves while they're looking there'd be no problem!) This happens almost every aisle through the whole store. I try and make sure I don't hold anybody up by blocking the aisle with my cart, to do otherwise would be inconsiderate, imho. Last time I went to the grocery store, there was a line of about 6 people all waiting to get through because one woman and her hubby refused to move their cart...they were too absorbed into reading all the can labels, wasn't like they were old or infirm either, lol. If they would have moved their cart a little closer to the aisle there would have been no problem and no antsy people borderline fuming. If the lady doesn't have her purse (or child, or personal belongings in it) I often ask politely if they mind if I move their cart over so I can get through.

Yeah, I hate that one too. It is just annoying. I always can't wait to get out of there when I have a bad cart because I never want to go change it or nothing.

OK...the ancient practice of check-writing....at the rate of using a quill pen..educate the elderly to move on to bank cards! No..not cah..they take 10 minutes to give the cashier the correct change using at least 23 coins!
