What type of transportation do you use on a daily basis?

I drive a midnight blue 2002 Toyota Corolla. It gets fairly good gas mileage. I only work 7 miles from where I live. I have thought about car pooling, but my work schedule is never the same, so that would make it difficult to do. I know there are many different types of transportation people use here in My Lot, since people are from many different countries. I know some people walk, some ride a bike, some may even take a bus. Just curious to know what type of transportation do you use on a daily basis?

I just purchased a 2007 Honda Civic, but that is only to get to the commuter train station, which is about a mile and a half away from my home. I take the commuter train because the combination of traffic and lack of parking in San Francisco is awful and it makes much more sense (not to mention saves gas) with me just taking the train to work. I only have to gas my car up every 3 weeks, it's awesome.

Wow, only having to gas up once every 3 weeks is great. I have to do so about once a week.

Hahaha... yah, it just comes down to the fact that I don't have to go very far on a daily basis. If my wife and I left for work at the same time, I could even use the car less cause we could carpool (her office is close to my train station). But she gets gas about every week and a half or so.

Bike would be good thing, gets you where you need to go and exercise at the same time.

I drive a Dodge Ram 4x4 truck if I have to go anywhere. I am a SAHMeeMee and I don't have to go anywhere every day, especially in the summer so I am fortunate not to have to worry about transportation every day. But I have my truck if I need to go any place. If I need to go somewhere here on our farm my golf cart is my transportation. Great gas mileage in it. LOL

I wish there were day's that I didn't have to go anywhere. But when I work 6-7 days a week that means that doesn't happen too oftern. Golf carts are nice for traveling around on a farm and a lot better gas mileage too.

I have an emerald green, 2006 cobalt that I drive. We live in a small town, but we are on the outskirts in the neighborhood we live in. And, all the stores are on the other side of town. So we aren't close enough to walk when we go shopping. My husband has a truck that he drivess to work. His work is about 20 miles from here.

Usually I use Kinetic Honda for my daily transport though sometimes I get Santro to drive.
I love driving kinetic because its a small vehicle and easily moves through small lanes and heavy traffic. It also doesnt have the problem of parking. So I prefer taking it out for my daily needs. Only problem with kinetic is the helmet coz it disturbs my hairstyle and also leads to tanning in summers.
In summers, I prefer the car as it is more convenient having an AC to provide cooling and prevent tanning.

I live in a small town where most everything is in walking distance. If it is to far to walk I drive a Cobalt. My husband belongs to a carpool for work but other than work he rides a bike everywhere.

We have a 1993 Ford Conversion Van. I hate the fact it is a Ford as we have always had trouble with fords, but it was the only thing at the time that we could afford and had to upgrade when we had our 4th baby.
It doesn't do very good on gas mileage, especially with the high prices. We average about $100 + per week just in gas expenses if not more. I love the roominess in conversion vans. Your not so cramped and they are perfect for vacations and going to the drive-in or even camping.
Hoping to be able to buy a newer one in GMC or Chevy sometime soon.

A 2004 PT Cruiser. I wanted one while they were still in the planning stage. I finally got one when our Chevy Blazer blew it's tranny. My husband didn't think our son's wheelchair would fit but all I do is pop the wheels off and put the seat in first. Voila! I get 28 mpg.

I like the look of PT Cruiser's. That is pretty good gas mileage. And where there is a will there is always a way!
