Do you like watching TV or listen to the music when you do some reading?

I can listen to some calm music, but I can't watch television at the same time or I'll not concentrate on my reading

Over the years I've done both. But most of the time the tv is on all day at home. When I read I find myself absorbed in the story and frequently dont even notice what is going on around me. If music is on I tend to start singing or paying more attention to the music than the book.

I don't think I'll be able to read a book while watching TV. One of them will win my concentration. But listening to music while reading is something I always do. Even at work we have soft music playing in the computer. It enhances our ability to work.

If I have the tv on I turn down the volume so that there is only a slight bit of sound. Normally I just read in silence as I concentrate better that way on the book.

I like to listen to music while I read books. Music can help me concentrate on my reading and would allow me to stay reading longer...it destructs my attention when I am reading and wathing tv at the same time since I have to move my head away from the book everytime I look at the tv screen...so I may not be able to understand thoroughly what I am reading.

ya i like listening to musik or watching TV as it gives me the feeling i am not alone and and the thing which i am reading is also easily remembered with the musik or the sound of tv .. i just like my this habbit

I do that all the time. I would pick the music or the TV depending which I am in the mood for at the time. I can still know what is going on in the book no problem.

well, i think listening to mellow music woul do while reading.. i find it more relaxing and make me more understand what i'm reading... and it also helps me make an earlier sleep.... actually, when i can't sleep at night, all i have to do is to listen to soft music while reading and with that, i can sleep easily..

I like to turn on my TV when I'm reading. Actually the TV is always turned on at our home. Even if nobody watches it.

I can hear music almost all the times. Music has never interferred with my activities at any point of time.In fact, most of the time, music has been an inspiration to me, when I get tired. I was hearing music in my walkman, when I was preparing for the final examination of my school and college. I have always found Music as an motivation, rather than a disturbance. You should hear the right kind of music. Some music will definitely disturb you at any time you hear it. Avoid such music and I feel Music wont be a disturbance to you.

I like to watch television or listening to music. Well,it doesn't bother me either. I have this habit of always listening to music when i am studying my lessons. I don't know,i think it makes me relax.

I prefer listening to music than watching tv so that i can focus on what im reading. I don't look up on the tv then to my book i can just focus on what im reading.

i tend to read a magazine while watching my favourite or show, if i dont do this i tend not to get enough time to do both

no i never do that coz its hard to concentrate on my reading....

I do that most of the time, but honestly even with music much more when you here your favorite song, you can't concentrate on your reading. I have music when im reading not so important stuff like magazine and novel books. But watching tv while reading, is a no, it confuses my eyes to what i will suppose to look at.

i can't read books and watch tv at the same time :) but i do listen music when i read books. it just sometimes if the book has good story line then i will forget the music,often i found it that the music has already stopped w/out i realized :))

I prefer listening to music rather than watching tv when I do some reading at home. It makes me more relax specially my mind and it gives me more into it, to read more while there's a music played at the same time.

I like listening to music when I read books, not so much TV though... I only watch TV when my head is about to explode and I feel I can't concentrate on anything... so TV is like relax-no-thinking time for me...

I kindah like listening to the Music while reading, it enhances my thoughts and imagination the way I absorb the material that i am reading, its fun kindah like paradise for me. :)
