Do you believe in the power of prayer? Does prayer affect your life in anyway? I have two minds on the subject, one I believe we should pray to our God, two being, God already knows what is in my heart so why do I need to put it into words? And I am a firm believer that we all pray in troubling times, but is it fair to ask for help when we do not pray when our lives are going good? I believe there is a God watching over us, but sometimes I wonder why he does not bring peace and good times to our earth. I know he touches our lives in many different ways but some of us need his healing on a more personal level!

I do beleive in prayer and God;s almight power. Look everything God does is to please himself ok? We on the other hand dont listen to his word and when we fall in a ditch we come out bawling for help and asking how could this happen. We allowed it to happen. He said wahtsoever we ask in JEsus. name believing, we shall receive it. Faith has to work with a godly life and they go hadn in hand. God needs a vessel and a clean one to work through. Prayer has kept me alive and even when I sin to th epoint of backsliding its God's word and love tha tbrought me back. Look I dont have all the answers but one thing I know is tha God answers prayers in accorndace to his will.

Yes, I believe in the power of prayer. Prayer allows me to keep open communication and maintain a relationship with God. Yes, God already know what is in your heart, but by your praying, you put your faith in action.
The Bible says to pray without ceasing. This means keeping the lines of communication with God, open at all times. We should not only pray a prayer of need, but also of thanksgiving for the things that he has already done.
We should also praise and worship him and pray for others. God does bring peace to the earth. Trials come to correct, strenghten, and teach us. If we never had bad times, how could we appreciate the good times.
If you need healing from God, get into his word and allow him to speak to you. Pray and let him know your need and believe that he will supply it. Matthew 6:33 says, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.

i believe strongly in the power of prayer and correct prayer definitely can bring changes into our lives... by praying, we show our total dependent on God and show that we have to rely on Him for everything... and yes, we also pray during good times to say thanks to God... we don't only pray during bad times... because if we do that, we make God looks like our servant who always has to fulfill our needs and we look like a beggar who always ask from Him for our needs...

Praying and especially group prayer is such a typical American thing. I think that it's a waste of time since i haven't heard about any substantial evidence it works in any way. If i ever get diagnosed with a terminal illness, i won't lose time praying or hoping for some miracle, i'd use my time wisely and spend time with the people i care for. But hey, who am i to post this message, me with my European rational thinking.

This is interesting question, that im sure everyone asks themselves, regardless of whether someone follows a religion or not. I suppose it comes down to faith really, if you feel that praying invokes the sense of well being around you, you would believe that prayer works, whereas other religious people from other religions might just say things are just meant to happen in some way, or everything is supposed to follow some grand design therefore praying for something or someone may not be effective, due to the belief that if something is going to happen, it will, and no amount of praying will help. In other religions prayer is also seen as a duty rather then just a power to invoke divinity. I personally do believe in the power of praying but not just for a moment of help or something petty, but it being able to give me direction and focus, a time for reflection

I believe in the power of prayer, and yes, God knows our needs before we speak them, but prayer is a form of worship and it pleases Him. It tells us in the Bible to pray without ceasing, prayer is conversation with God, and it helps us develop a stronger and closer relationship with Him.
You have hit on a good point, we should pray even when our lives are going well, pray to give Him praise and thanksgiving and pray for others, as well as when things are going bad.

Yes, of course. I do beleive in the power of prayer. Especially, I do believe a lot in the miracles that can be done with the Group Prayer.
I believe in God a lot and so I believe Prayer to God and a complete surrender to Him, will help him in our hard times and give us the enough strength to withstand and handle all the hurdles of the life.
I have seen many cases in real life, where a Group prayer has cured a disease and many more instances..

then please ask your group to pray for me: I had a heart attack, lost my job, lost my medical, lost my house, lost myself in the process. I have prayed to God for forgiveness, for help and I can't seem to find him..
Thank you for your response...
