When I was younger I would have said I was a night owl. Never went to sleep until at least 1 in the morning. When I had smaller childern "sleep what is that?!" Also I liked having a couple hours of me time at night without feeling like I was still on the job, as a mom you are always on the job but can pretend your not when they sleep. LOL
Now I find I go to bed around 10 or 11 and like to be up around 6. The kids usually don't get up until 7 if there is school and 8 if there isn't so it gives me "me time" before I am on duty. LOL I feel better now this way to and that I didn't let the whole day slip away. By 9 am today I finished a load of laundry cleaned and started filling the pool outside and cleaned up the house. Before I was less productive when I was sleeping in or not getting enough sleep. Kinda like running on empty. LOL Vicki

It just depends. In the summer, I get to bed later and the kids may sleep til 8 or 9 in the morning. But during the school year the whole house is to bed early. The kids at 8 and my husband and I follow shortly after. I may watch tv in our bedroom until 10 or so. But once school starts, I get exhausted with all the running around I have to do.

Yep, i'm a late sleeper, i go to bed late & usually get up late, it all depends on what my daughter does.
If she goes to bed late she wont wake up until late - i usually just sleep until she wakes up, when she's awake, then i wake & get up.
I dunno if it's unhealthy, i guess as long as you get your 8-9 hours of sleep a night you should be pretty ok!
Maybe if you think it's unhealthy, then you should try going to bed late & forcing yourself to get up early, then you'll be tired that day & can go to bed at an earlier time & be up at a normal time the following day.
What's unhealthy is the routine we had when we were living in the city - we'd go to bed near 5-6am & sleep all day, when we woke up, it was mid - late afternoon & we'd miss the entire day, just sleeping! Mind you, it was the middle of summer & the house we were renting had no air conditioning so we'd manage to sleep through the main of the heat & not get too yukky! Still, that wasn't a healthy routine to be in.

I don't think sleeping ;ate is unhealthy as long as you're getting good quality sleep and enough of it. It's more important to get at least 8 hours than it is to sleep at night. Most people have a natural rhythm with the sun rising and setting but some do not. Don't be worried, just make sure you're getting enough of it.

i think as long as u get the required 8 hrs. then it's okay to fall asleep late, but if u r a light sleeper, then that's not healthy! i fall asleep around 1 am but i wake up around 9 so i get my required 8 plus i take a 2 hr. nap with my daughter during the day! ♥

I usually do not finish work until 10, wich means I am home at around 11 at night. I am the kind of person that can not go to bed imidiately, i need to stress down and that usually takes a few hours.
this means that I usually do not sleep before 2... it works though since I dont have to get up very early in the morning.

I go to sleep around midnight one o'clock and wake up at six thirty because my body just won't seem to let me sleep later. I have just never been a good sleeper. I guess you could say I am a insomniac. I have to admitt I am getting better with the whole sleeping thing. I do think that some people need more rest than others. It just depends on each person as to how much sleep their bodies need.

I go to bed late as well. Because I have fibromyalgia, a disorder that prevents me from sleeping well, I cannot get to sleep if I go to bed early even with the help of a sleeping aid. I take a small dose of sleeping pill every night. I sleep just fine if I go to bed midnight or later, but if I go to bed before that I will not be able to get to sleep... and I am taking sleep medication!
Most times I sleep in but sometimes I don't. If I do go to bed early (11pm) and manage to get to sleep, I will be awake at 5 unable to return to sleep. So I would rather go to bed when I am tired and ready to sleep. I get more hours sleep when I go to bed late than I do when I go to bed early.
Such is the nature of the beast.

I have always been a hoot owl. I go to sleep between 2 and 3 am, then get up between 8 and 10 am. It is really based on what's going on the following day as to what time I go to bed. I cannot fall asleep before midnight.

Me I don't have any fixed time to go to sleep. I work at home and my time for everything is all messed up and I hate it. Sometimes I sleep at 5:00 am and get up 2pm and sometimes I sleep on time. I used to like about having freedom of choosing your time for everything when you work at home but it can get boring sometimes. I wish I change my routine after I get married.
