He was driving while under the influence! It is so sad when someone you admire and enjoy watching is arrested for something like this. I hope it won't affect the tv show.

It did not surprise me to hear this since many celebrities are getting caught drinking and driving. That guy Ty from Extreme Home Makeover got arrested for the same thing not too long ago. They feel that they can get away with breaking the law because of their name and status. Hopefully he has learned his lesson and will not do it again.

You know, I don't think it's always that they feel they are above the law. I think it is just that when you drink, you don't really believe you are judgment-impaired! I remember (way back in my 20's) driving home after work. The girls had stopped off to have a couple of drinks before going home. I had 2 or 3 screwdrivers and drove home extremely happy! In thinking back, I remember at the time never even considering I was impaired, or that I could have been a danger to anyone...I was just so "happy" and feeling really good! It's been probably 25 years now, since I had a drink. Of course, if you are a party drinker or a habitual drinker, you learn to know better!

WHat TV show is he on? I agree that it is a bummer to see the celebrities getting in trouble. Nothing is private in their lives. I feel that should get at least a tiny bit of confidentiality in matters like this. Why does it matter that the world know their business?

Oh I am so sad to hear this. I hope it is all a mistake. I loved the show and used to watch it all the time. Those little people accomplished so much with all their handicaps, especially Matt.

That is terrible, I guess he is human, just like the rest of us. I wonder if we will see this on a future show and see how he explains it to the twins, who are just old enough to start getting into this type of trouble

I can't believe it I love watching that show and I will still watch the show. Is tv that bad that it drives people to drink? Glad the cops got him before anything bad happen to anyone.

I hated to hear this. Matt Roloff never even struck me as the type of person that would drink but I guess there is alot more that goes on behind the scenes then what we see. I am a big fan of the show and will continue to watch. Hopefully this will not affect it. I believe all people make mistakes and deserve a second chance. Hopefully he has learned his lesson.

It is sad because he stands for so many positive ideas. He is just a regular person like you are I and is just as prone to make mistakes. In the real world anyone who goes out to dinner and has one drink runs the risk of getting pulled over for driving under the influence. I do think that celebrities should watch their action since they are heavily followed by the media.

It must be hard to be a star..private business becomes public and it's a shame!

I hadn't heard about this. I wonder what ended up happening? I see that he refused to take the breath test, so I wonder if he was really drunk? Heck, I'm stone sober and I don't know if I could pass their field sobriety test! Walk a stright line? Doubt it. I could say my ABCs alright, but heck, I lose my balance all of the time because of a hip problem, so would they arrest me, too? I see people drifting out of their lane all of the time and they aren't drunk, they're just not paying attention. They're talking on their cell phone or yelling at their kids.
I dunno. Guess we'll have to wait and see if something is done as a follow up or if the show is on this fall or not.

That is very sad. I don't understand why so many people feel the need to drive after drinking so much. Especially when it is someone you admire and respect.
