in the name of sacrifice, i think we should!
i agree with you that we can always pray at home, or anywhere else.
but my definition of church is a community, a group of people with one belief,
when we said we go to church, we just dont go to the structures, or building, but we go to a meeting place of our community... not only to praise God but to communicate,... socialize with others

I am one that has never believed in Churches, I do not wish to offend anyone but I believe they are just man made structures run by ordinary people who basically live off the earnings of other people, if Churches were doing what they are meant to do their doors would never be closed and that huge build up of money they have would be given back to the people who are in need. I believe you should believe in your inner voice to do what is right and wrong, have love for all. I am a believer in something but I also believe we will not know what it is all about until our times comes so it is up to us to love and look after each other and make the most of this life we are given until whatever is shown to us when it is our time.

The bible instructs us to "not forsake the fellowship of other believers". It doesn't say this has to be in a church. Anywhere that you can worship freely and be with others of the same belief is fine.
The apostles didn't build churches; they worshipped in homes.

I took a break from church for a long time. I go regularly now, at least Sundays, sometimes more. I am Christian and part of the reason I go is because Jesus kept the Sabbath by teaching in the synagogues. I also find it strengthening and encouraging. It seems that we are bombarded by so many un-Christian things in our culture. It is nice to gather weekly with like-minded people and rejuvenate our moral values.

For myself I don't feel a need to go to a church every sunday. I went to a religious school for 13 years and we had to go Sunday to Friday. What I found on Sundays though is that there were many people who I knew there that, came, did their hour of being a good person, and left not practising anything about the faith. I think it is WAY more important to keep your faith in your everyday life not just sunday for an hour. I don't think it is enough to say I am a good religious person cause I sit in a church for an hour a week.
However if you are actually truely practising your faith then attending to socialize with like minded people and feel a sense of community behind your beliefs is great and you would enjoy going there and would want to go, it wouldn't be a chore you have to do once a week.
