Do you prefer to have a prepaid or postpaid phone? if i we're to choose i like prepaid cause you can save money and you can control not to overspend on calls or txt. I already tried postpaid and it's hard to keep up with the monthly bills and you always pay the fixed amount even if you won't use your celphone, so i really prefer prepaid plan though i have my celphone on a postpaid plan because my husband is paying it with his family flex plan, it's 2 phones in one plan and we just thought it's better if we share the minutes and it's unlimited calling if we have the same network, that's why i got one celphone under his postpaid plan. But still if i were to choose i like prepaid more to control overspending on celphone bills, before i was using prepaid then i just switch to postpaid because of the reason i just stated above. How about you what plan do you have and what do you prefer, postpaid or prepaid?

Definitely pre-paid. Post-paid connections are like credit cards…you go on spending without at check and pay at the end of it all. By then you are no longer in control and end up paying more than you actually intended. Pre-paid helps one to control the monthly expenses on mobile.

Hi claire03! :) I never had postpaid phones, usually it's prepaid. And I still want it to be that way. I am able to control my phone calls and text messages that I send. I know how to budget my allowance and cost for cellphone loads. :)
Take care always and God bless! \(",)_

I have a three year contract. If I had enough money, I would have bought the phone outside, and yet if I wanted to go with a plan with unlimited talking on weekends and evenings and free between those using the same provider, I would have still used a contract, only it would have been a one year or two year one.
There is also the plan where you buy the cellphone and only pay for what you use. However if you do not have enough money, you will have to use the contract plan. My husband said it would be better to use the prepaid plan, but I would rather pay a set amount each month then suddenly have to use the phone for an emergency and it would be in a month when unexpected financial charges came up. Besides then, I would have to buy a much cheaper phone that only works in Canada and the States and not the quad phone that I wanted.

Personally, I am using a prepaid phone service since I do not have a stable monthly income which is a prime requirement in applying for a post paid service. Prepaid phones are more or less advantageous in the sense that one can practically control the amount of time and money one should use in calling or texting purposes. A prepaid service might be the only option for you if you have bad credit standings. But if your cell usage is much in demand and you need a state-of-the-art cell phone, then you would be better off with a monthly billed post-paid cellular phone.

I am using postpaid, I've never used prepaid before. I'm just too lazy to purchase the top up amount if my prepaid runs out of money. although I'm using postpaid, I do keep track of my calls and make sure that I use my mobile wisely. .

I think prepaid works fine with those with restricted budget. I normally use the prepaid ones. It helps in controlling the calls. Anywayz, it depends on the person's choice.

I prefer prepaid so I don't have to worry about costs later when I may not have any money left over for the month.

Postpaid is better when you have a business because you can text or call right away hustle free. while prepaid is better you have no business to own. Or its up to you what really you like

I prefer prepaid as this system is more economical for me. As I’m not a heavy user I just have to spend a fixed amount of subscription per month for the net work and air time.
Whereas the monthly subscription of the postpaid is very much higher in my country and it is only economical for those heavy users.

I think it depends. If you're a frequent user you're better off getting a postpaid plan so you can maximize the minutes included in the package and you won't have to keep on buying phonecards.
Personally I prefer prepaid so I won't have to worry about monthly bills. And yes, you're right. I find that it also helps me control my usage.

I have a postpaid phone and I love it I do not think I could ever use a prepaid because there are times where you may need to prolong certain conversations and you are limited because of your minutes. THen you would have to go buy more minutes and it could be more expensive then your monthly plan all together. I have nextel and I pay 50.00 a month and what I love about my phone is I get free incoming calls so if I call anyone I just tell them to hang up and call me back and I also get free nights and weekends, So I rarely go over my daytime minutes and it is definately worth it.

I'm prepaid and probably wouldn't go postpaid unless it was cricket, or if one of the other phone companies actually had a good deal. -_- Plus I'm not much of a cell user anyways so no reason to spend needlessly.

Postpaid, that way I will not run out of minutes during a conversation and stuff and I can just pay it later.
