Okay here in America, Monday was Labor Day, a national holiday for us...And honestly, I've been confused all day...For the life of me, it seemed like Sunday, instead of Monday...
Does anyone else get days mixed up, confused when it's a holiday?? I sure hope I'm not the only one that feels like this!!

It happens to me a lot, especially when I'm back at school and I have the day off. It's hard to keep myself on track the rest of the week because I'm rather confused about what day it is and what I need to accomplish the rest of the week. Sometimes I'll wake up the next day thinking it's the weekend all over again even if it's a week day. It's a pain really, how one day can throw off an entire schedule for a week.

For me the days always seem to be mixed around. I guess that's because my mind is on some distant planet right now, and I'm still trying to get it to come back home..lol! I most likely would have gone through today, thinking it was Monday, if not for this post. My husband was off from work yesterday, so I took the day off as well, so now my week will be pretty messed up til next week.

I think my mind went on a vacation to outer space after I graduated from high school. Once there it decided that it would make it an extended vacation...lol

You are not alone, when I worked a normal schedule..I always did that.
Now I am off Tuesday, wednesday and I am confused all of the time, I don't have a traditional weekend like most people, thought I still think of sat and sunday as a weekend.
Yet, my 2 days off are sort of a weekend but never feel like one..because I can not do any of the things that I think of as weekend activities.

That is confusing!! Yes, we somehow have certain activities put aside just for weekends of Sat/Sun so I can see why you might be out of kilter there

Oh my YES! That is exactly how I felt.

Na, you're not the only one. Every time we have a holiday, especially if it's one that falls on a Friday or Monday it takes me a few days to get back to remembering what day it is.

I get confused on what day it is all the time, holiday or not.
Today didn't seem like Sunday to me -- it was a lot quieter than any Sunday! But tomorrow kids will be crawling out of the woodwork or wherever they've been hiding all summer and it won't be quiet anymore.

Yes it is easy to get confused on what day of the week it is even when we do not have a holiday. I use to get confused when a holiday was in the middle of the week and we had to go back to work the next day.

Monday holidays don't affect me since I normally have mondays off...so it's just another day. What was really strange here, was that the public schools decided to hold classes today. They never have done that on labor day, at least not since I can remember. It made it very strange.

It is the rule, the day before you go back to work is, on average,Sunday. And it doesn't help that t.v. channels air specials instead of their normal weekday schedule.so of course I get confused. When I was in high school , it would take half the day for me to get it straight.

I never know what day it is. I have two jobs and work the first half of the week at a day job, then swap to an overnight job. So I am always confused as to where I'm supposed to go when. If my alarm goes off, I have to take a moment to decide which job I'm supposed to get up for, or if I'm just napping and don't have to go to work yet. So if there is a holiday in there where I actually DON'T have to work, then I'm all messed up. And having a shorter week doesn't help either.

When it's a holiday? I do good if I can remember what day it is on any day, lol. Holidays do throw me off every time through. Imagine living somewhere with a lot of them? We've actually got the fewest here in the US, most countries have and take off the double and triple that we do. Must be nice, lol.

Having been born and bred in the states I don't really get confused over US holidays and other national holidays. I just wish we could celebrate some of the other holidays out there as days off! (kidding ;p)
And as for the days themselves, a few times I do get thrown off but most times no, I can tell what day it is.
