I just recieved my new scrapbooking magazine from Oriental and they have alot of different types of eyelets and brads. What are they used for? How do you use them? Should I be using them on my pages?

I love them. They put an extra little something on your page. The brads come in so many different colors and shapes and you can use them for so much. Oriental trading does have alot to offer. I just ordered a bunch of Christmas brads. I can also use them on my cards I make.

Thank you for commenting. I love getting my oriental trading catalog in with all the different scrapbooking items. It makes me want to drop what I'm doing and go scrapbook. They have so many cute things in the catalog.

I have created some videos that teach how to use brads and many other techniques. http://scrapnnook.fortunecity.net/nookweb_004.htm I hope these help you. Crystal

I use them to add little accents to pages. Sometimes I'll use them to secure a ribbon or vellum paper. Other times I might use one on either side of the page title. I don't use them on every page (I don't want to overkill the idea), but every now and then I use them to spruce up a page and add a little extra detail.

Thanks for posting this discussion, because I have often wondered the same thing. I know what the eye lets are used for, but I was wondering about the brads. There is a lot of excellent information here.
